No Offline Access…

Is okay for time tracking, but TimeLord will not open and operate if not connected to Internet. I work outdoors off-the-grid often enough that TimeLord becomes inoperable. There are glitches and difference between the phone app and web browser versions that are a minor irritant. If there are no improvements to these functions, I will be looking for a better supported time tracker and end my annual subscription.

Hi there! We're so sorry to hear you had trouble trying to complete an in-app purchase. We know how frustrating that can be. It sounds like you may need to scroll up on the paywall in order to reveal the purchase button. We're going to improve the UX on this screen in an upcoming release based on this feedback. Reach out to us at support@hourstimelord.com if you need anything else. Thank you for your feedback and for being a TimeLord user!

App is Buggy

This is such a powerful tool. Simple to use, and easy to modify/update. The invoicing that is produced directly from the app is gold. The cloud based data helps to keep my timers and time in sync across all platforms. However, the app is buggy. I often have to restart the app. And some times, it just chooses to not start up. I then have to log into the web application to get something started. I do hope the improve the performance, because when it works, it is brilliant!

Don’t switch from Hours

If you are an Hours user do not consider switching to TimeLord. This version of the application is not nearly complete. There is no iPad application and no watch application. The timers do not seem to round properly and the reporting compared to Hours is very weak. I switched because I needed to start capturing time for a team and my Hours subscription did not have that feature. Hours support suggested that I move to TimeLord as the Hours subscription cost was going up. I will be investigating alternatives as TimeLord is a huge letdown compared to Hours.

Response from developer

Thank you for your review and please allow me to apologize for the delay on our iPad app. Unfortunately, we had to pause this release and any further beta testing in order to fully support our iOS, Mac and Web products. Hours will continue to be available as iPad native, and we will update you if/when TimeLord supports an iPadOS app.

Only mobile app

You can't even use the desktop version of this app without paying $50/year. The free and personal versions are of course affordable, but are only for mobile app. I'd love to try out a desktop version for $10/year to see if the app is as good as it looks, but that's not an option.

Update: Disappointing that it is not iPad native… still 8 months after they said there was a beta.

Update: Disappointed it its current state for iPad/Mac users but if they make the improvements they promise this could become as good as Hours Time Tracker(their other app). Hours TimeLord was advertised as being the newer better Hours app. It is apparently still being developed and the initial release is missing critical features for me like working on the iPad as a native app. It is also less information dense. In Hours Time Tracker I can have 10 timers viewable on the screen at one time on my phone. TimeLord only shows 7 in the same space. I run hours on the iPad on 1/3 of the screen with my calendar on the other 2/3 of the screen all day for work. That setup is a game changer for productivity and time tracking. Since Hours TimeLord is not iPad native this setup is impossible. Effectively this is still Hours Lite. At present, if all you need is a phone based time tracking app this may be the perfect app for you and the subscription is cheaper than Hours Time Tracker. However, at this point their other app has the features that matter to my busy workflow. That said, I really hope they get the iPad functionality done. I was told 8 months ago there was a beta app and then told I would be invited to the beta and have heard nothing since. For my money, their Hours apps is still the best bang for your buck and I have tried quite a few of them in the past.

Needs better code

Randomly, timers refuse to stop. This makes a timer app kind of useless. Please fix the code.

Terrible update for accessibility

I’m a blind user, and have used the original hours for years. This new time lord version has pop ups that are not properly tagged for voice over, so I cannot create a timer or start a timer due to the accessibility barriers. Always hate when developers “update” something and break the accessibility they’d undoubtedly worked hard to make in the first place.

Response from developer

First and foremost, we want to say thank you for using our time tracking apps for so many years. We’re so grateful for your willingness to try TimeLord and for your honesty. We are committed to getting these issues resolved for you; since you emailed our team and provided the info we needed, we are already working on these updates and you can expect to see them in the next Mac release in June.

Why Mess with a Great Thing?

The developer has taken what was an outstanding app (Hours) and traded it for a hot mess. TimeLord is a shadow of its predecessor and there doesn’t seem to be a good reason for messing with what was a great thing.

The new interface is a pale imitation of Hours; it seems that changes were made only for sake of change and not to improve the app. One star, would not recommend.

Gracias TimeLord!

Response from developer

Thank you for your review and welcome to TimeLord! Time tracking should be easy!

Beste Time Tracking App

We appreciate you!

Thank you for your updated review and we’ll keep you updated as soon as our iPad app is available! Thank you so much for being a user of Hours, and for this valuable feedback. We appreciate all reviews—those that are positive and even more so those that are constructive so we can continue to improve. You’re exactly right that we don’t have a native iPad app (yet), but rest assured it’s in beta right now alongside our Mac app that will be releasing in the spring. We look forward to bringing these to our users, and in the meantime, we’ll work to optimize the web experience on iPad. We hope you’ll give TimeLord another try once the iPad app is released, and potentially even consider giving us beta feedback as a tester! Regardless, we’re glad we can still serve you through Hours for the time being. Please email us at support@hourstimelord.com if you’d like more info on being a beta tester or ever have any requests/suggestions for our team.

Won't open

I want to like it but I can't even sign in. The app won't open.

Response from developer

We are so sorry that you experienced trouble signing in. We had a temporary issue with our servers that caused this issue to occur between Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. This is all resolved. If you are still having this issue, please reach out to us at support@hourstimelord.com.

Great app

It’s great app love it, will it be available for Apple Watches soon?

Response from developer

We love it too! Thank you for using TimeLord and taking the time to submit a review! Apple watch is on our roadmap to begin development in 2023. Keep an eye out for our Mac app next! We love user feedback. Don't hesitate to email us at support@hourstimelord.com with any other suggestions/feature requests!

Cannot subscribe

In-app subscription is the only way to do this. It doesn’t work.
There is no way to “buy” so you never get to a transaction?

Simple interface; seamless time tracking

This app is exactly what I was looking for: a simple interface that allows me to integrate time tracking into my day without getting distracted with unnecessary complexity.
