About
House of Rubber is a creative studio and place for interdisciplinary artistic practice, located between the realms of fashion and sculpture. We create fashion-driven sculptures that explore the boundaries of fashion, objects and the human body.
Our app uses the power of augmented reality in order to teleport you to digital spaces serving as extension of our physical sculptures. Wonder around, take pictures and immerse yourself in the wondrous House of Rubber.
Currently exhibited: Lady in Rug
Lady in Rug aims at humanising the object, objectifying the body and deterritorialising creative disciplines. The sculpture, and the body of work it is part of, challenges our traditional perception of the mentioned elements by blurring their distinctive characteristics and altering their DNA.
Real-life Lady in Rug is a robotic sculpture covered in 12 square meters of hand-tufted carpet and currently exhibited during This Art Fair in Amsterdam (7-11.06.22).
