Best Korean learning app

By far the best app to use to learn Korean. I love everything about it from practicing and the reading they provide which explains everything you need to know about Korean in an understandable way. Much better than any app out there I can’t praise it enough

Thorough and detailed

First of all, I appreciate that the teacher doesn’t get the reader bogged down in grammatical concepts like “first person present subjunctive” and instead uses plain well-written English with plenty of examples. It’s very easy to follow and refreshing to read. I love all the vocabulary and the spoken audio and I will say that the sample sentences are the icing on the cake, because they put the vocabulary and lesson contents to precise use. It’s an absolute goldmine of information and well worth the price.

I finally found the all-in-one app that will get me to Korean fluency.

Best Korean learning app. As an English teacher learning to better help my Korean students, this is by far the most intuitive app for those who want a comprehensive all in one resource and companion to your learning.

Most language learning apps have a gimmick or gamified structure which helps for motivation and consistency, but as you progress, I find those apps become less effective because the format sometimes outperforms meaningful language retention.

Particularly, after learning basic grammar and vocabulary, the main challenge to speaking conversationally is being able to creating strings of coherent sentences, so HTSK gives many examples to allow you to apply what you’ve learned WITH new vocabulary and it has all the QOL things you need for flash cards, super relevant stats, creating your own lists etc.

It’s definitely better suited for those who mainly need a great resource with explanations, examples and non-nonsense drill tools. You can pair it really well with other apps with more emphasis on guided learning.

Bravo!!! ✨✨✨

Best Korean Teacher Ever

This is the only app or form of learning I teach myself since high school. I love how they build this system for us to learn Korean

Slow but worth it

I’ve had this app for 2 months and have been loving it so far. I do an hour per day. It starts with 한글 and grammar which is detailed and accurate. It doesn’t have as many exercises as other apps but that’s ok because you still learn a lot. You don’t really start learning WORDS and how to have conversations until later lessons so I recommend complimenting this with an app like memrise or lingodeer. I love this app because it sets things clear and helps you learn how to read even if you don’t understand yet. Slow and steady wins the race. Spend a while on this and become a pro. It has real people writing everything and speaking in the audios you hear which is the best part!

My favorite learning app

Hands down my favorite learning app! Powerful functionality built into the app. Love the options for learning vocab. Different modes for quizzing oneself to learn/retain vocab. Great explanation of the nuances of the language. Still have many lessons to go but very excited to see the recent addition of hanja lessons. I wish apps for other languages were modeled on this one. Congratulations on creating this amazing app. I hope you can support it for a long time to come. I will be absolutely heartbroken if it ever disappears. 화이팅!

Such good explanations

The explanations are so good and easy to understand! In the beginning I thought it would be difficult since the words and alphabet are entirely different from the languages I know so far, but the app explains them really well and I had no trouble with it :).

Literally the best app to learn Korean :)

This apps four lessons covered my whole progress in Duolingo. I really recommend downloading it.

Incredible

USE THIS APP!! I started learning Korean and I ran into a problem I think is quite common, finding a course or program to teach me Korean was overwhelming and expensive. Many of the courses I came across had massive prices and less structured lessons and more just vocabulary practice. Then I found Howtostudykorean and knew right away. This app has fantastic content with everything you need to know about all aspects of the Korean language-vocabulary sentence structure, grammar, pronunciation tips, writing, reading, EVERYTHING. What I love about this is that it’s all in one so instead of paying for 3 different apps and creating your own program, you can get all content on this app for very cheap in comparison to any competitor. If you’re overwhelmed or losing hope in learning Korean, get this.

I love it!

This app is so helpful (website too). I like that I can quiz myself or just work on vocabulary. I’m still mastering how to navigate through the app without losing my place, but once I master that it’ll be great.

Very in depth, fantastic!

I am on lesson five and this app has blown me away with its in-depth yet understandable explanations of grammar. I definitely plan on purchasing the whole pack because it is so useful. One thing I think would make the app much better is the ability to highlight in the lessons. I love colour coating, so having some different coloured highlighter options in the app would make understanding it so much easier. Thank you for making this!

This app is amazing, as was the website. I literally couldn’t praise it enough. I would love to add a suggestion for ease of studying. How about a highlight feature that saves highlighted text by lesson number? That would help a lot. There are times I encounter vital information to areas I have difficulty with, and I would love to easily refer back to it without having to scroll through the whole lesson. Other than this at the moment, the app is amazing. Thanks for being so meticulous and in-depth with your teaching. This resource is worth so much more than we get it for. 정말 감사합니다.

Amazing website and app

This website is amazing and really good with explanations and everything. I’ve been using this since I started studying Korean (about 3 years). If I would’ve been consistent I could’ve probably been fluent by now. They even answer any questions you have if you email them.

I have learned so much through the website and the app out of all the korean apps i have tried this is probably the best one

Highly Recommend

I have been using this website for years before it became an app. It explains every aspect of Korean grammar in a well thought out order in a very accessible format.
I really enjoy that the lessons have been put into app form and the vocab section has both a testing feature and also the option to see the just English, just Korean or both translations.

🥸

I came from the website, and it’s great at going into the grammar rules and conjugations. You can only get so far by trying to tell by how “right” it sounds, and because it delves in both the basics and advanced and it lets you skip around levels (at least the site does) , it’s good even for Korean Americans who have a “complicated” level of fluency.

Best Korean grammar app

All of these lessons have a clear concise explanation of each grammar concept in detail. I also love the grammar finder option, it’s a huge help when I’m watching tv shows and need to look up grammar points. I also really like the vocabulary practice options, it’s a huge help to reinforce all the vocabulary just learned in the lesson. Love it!

Best Korean language app for serious learning

This Korean language app is an absolute must for anyone learning Korean. The author has worked wonders at explaining difficult subjects in a clear and understandable way. I would say explaining better than anyone else because I have been following and reading different sources and still been confused until finding this wonderful app.

Great app 10/10

This app is so helpful! The author is extremely thorough—it seems every time I have a question, they answer it in the next sentence. I really appreciate all the work you’ve put in to making this app to help others learn Korean too. Thank you!
