App Should be Updated!
Very disappointed after purchasing to discover the app has not been updated. Gold 12c update is fantastic! Please update this calculator too!
What a shame
Please stop being scammers and update the HP 12C Platinum app. It's been 4 years without an update and the calculator doesn't work! Resolve this immediately.

It’s it works with basic math and calculations, but when I do a present value, cash flow calculation it freezes and exits the app

Please update the app and fix the bugs of crash. It’s a great app.
Refund Needed
App hasn’t worked for years and crashes when launching. This calculator is legendary in the finance field and there is no excuse for years of these crashes. Either update the app or issue a refund for those of us who paid to get it.

Won't compute. Crashes frequently. Just disappears off the screen and relaunching and rebooting your phone does not change its behavior. Do not buy. It has not been updated in four years, so clearly no one supports the app.

Terrible reliability
Have been using 12c’s all my career. Loved the unit. On an iPhone it’s a disaster. The clear button often erases the app altogether.
Calculations are wrong. App crashes.
Worst app money can buy. It is a shame on HP to rob people by selling this app. Apple should ban this app for misguiding people to buy them. Especially when a calculator cannot calculate right and also crashes when you press clear.
A recent review by one tommetrick says the app is not for entertainment and only for professionals. Of course it’s for professionals. Only they search for HP12C and buy it for $14.99. I am an MBA graduate using the calculator for 40 years now. That review by tommetrick is false and posted to discredit all other reviews which give the one star rating the app deserves. Don’t buy it till I post that it has stopped crashing. Press CLX and the app will crash proving itself that it is not worth it.

Simple PMT calculations won’t work
Terrible investment buying this app. I use it side by side with my calculator to make sure it wasn’t user error on my part and sure enough it is not. The app keeps returning error 5 on PMT calculations (making sure I have a negative number so as not to cause the error) but no matter what it returns the error 5. Terrible product. Don’t waste your money as I wish I hadn’t.

Errors out
Paid $14.99 for this and have to delete and reload the app every time I do a new calculation. Annoying.
Please speed up the updates
When I try to calculate the interest rate based on a deposit, knowing the final value and the period, the message “Error 5” appears.
Both on the physical HP 12 Platinum and on the 12C Gold App, the result appears correctly, but on this App, the error appears.
I confess that I was a little frustrated with the quality of the App, but I believe that, just as you did a great job on the 12C Gold App, you will also do a great update on this one.
I honestly am hesitant to buy another app (I bought the one for the HP 12C Gold and the one for the HP 12C Platinum), because they don’t even respond to requests.

Unlike the basic, less expensive, version, this has not been updated to full screen mode. Probably better to wait until upgraded or stick to basic version until / if this happens.

Constantly crashes. Always gets an error message when calculating monthly payment. Only works for simple math like additions, subtractions, multiplications, etc…. Just a basic calculator that comes free with most phones. Do not purchase!!
Constant Crashes / ripoff
This would be a very nice app to have if it actually worked. Genuinely we deserve refunds. I spent too much money for an app that crashes every time I hit the clear button.
