Happy to use this app
Great app—printing from my phone has never been this simple. The HP Smart App has made printing much more convenient and efficient for me. The installation process was quick, and connecting my printer was simple. I like how easy it is to print, scan, and share documents directly from my phone. The app has a clean design and responds quickly without any lag. It also provides helpful notifications about printer status and ink levels. The wireless printing feature works smoothly and saves a lot of time. Everything is organized, making it easy to find the tools I need. The app performs reliably and continues to improve with regular updates. It is a great companion for both home and office printing. Overall, I am very satisfied with the HP Smart App and would gladly recommend it.

This app can help you with a a variety of tasks but it’s named in a misleading way as this is NOT the HPSmart app and it’s not made by HP, it just works with HP products.

I downloaded this app to scan from my HP printer. Pressed on scan and it opened the camera on my iPad. Apple does that anyway. and they want £40 a year for this? Absolute rubbish

It’s easy to connect , simple to use , very useful 👍🏻
Despite the name, this is not HP’s Smart Printer App.
As far as I can tell; HP recently made the decision to discontinue support for its popular “HP Smart App” for printers, and to offer in its place a single app that can manage all HP products called the “HP App”.
So now, if you search for “HP Smart App” in the App Store, you will find dozens of apps created by independent developers that are leveraging the goodwill of HP’s Smart brand. But you won’t find HP’s Smart App.
So, who are these independent developers? My guess is — just some engineers who believe in fair competition; who like to root for the underdog; who want the chance for their app to compete head-to-head against HP, in an open and transparent competition, may the best app win.
I’m just kidding! These people built apps that look and sound like the real HP Smart app; they paid Apple to feature their apps at the top of the the search results for terms like “HP Smart Printer”; and they hope that consumers will confuse their app with the real HP app and download their app by accident. This is what happened to me.
As you would expect, most of these dozens of fake HP apps don’t actually include the word “HP” in their title, since HP could sue anyone who does this. But there are, amazingly, two apps that do have “HP” in the title. THIS IS ONE OF THE TWO.
So that’s how I came to download this app. I did quickly realize my mistake, found the correct HP app, and then deleted this app. But I found this whole strategy of deception extremely annoying — enough to write about it here.
In retrospect, I feel foolish. I should have known better, seeing as how they don’t use HP’s logo, just its name. So perhaps I am just angry at myself.
In summary, don’t know if the app is any good. It didn’t have the functionality I needed — only the genuine HP app does.
And I don’t even like HP.
