Horrible App
IOS and android versions are equally poor apps. (1) Android App arbitrarily changed my profile picture to that of some unknown female. When I logged out and tried to log back in, the alpha keyboard was no longer available…numbers only. Couldn’t enter password. Deleted app and reinstalled. Attempted to change password, email verification process failed. Downloaded iOS version…no better. Now I have a coop door with no way to open/close remotely. Very disappointed.

Completely inconsistent
Why was the one five star review written about daylight savings time written in July? Meanwhile there are 8 total reviews with an average of less than 2 stars, so who do you think is telling the truth?
The door constantly loses its settings, opens when it’s not supposed to, closes when there is no time set for it to close, the only way it works is to hold the button for thirty seconds while you stand there. Guess what, I can close a door manually without all this hassle.

Hopeful follow up
I have been using this door for about three months. It had an issue with the daylight savings time not being correct. I contacted the company and they told me they were fixing the problem and they did just that.
This door is great. It opens every morning before I am out of bed and closes every night when the chickens are inside. I have tried closing the door manually with the app when they are around and it has always detected something was in the way.
If you are thinking about getting a chicken coop door you should consider this one in your list. Very nice product.

I ordered the automatic chicken door from Grubsfarm from Amazon. The item that came was the Hartompet automatic chicken door E6. The item was designed in California according to the manual which is clearly written by a foreign company. The English in the manual is not translated well. Clark and Wilson company is in Albany New York.
When I got the door it is packaged very nicely and all the parts were in the box. The door opened and closed fine with the app and the test button. However I was having issues with the timer in the app. I used the hartompet ai chat and it was surprisingly helpful. It had an answer for everything I asked it. Sometimes I would only put one word and it had perfect answers for me.
What they didn’t tell me until I figured it out was the timer was one hour later due to daylight savings time. If I set the open/close timer one hour behind my current time it worked flawlessly.
I am writing this review mainly because there aren’t any real reviews for this item and if the company is interested in making this door better they absolutely can. A daylight savings time option in the app would fix the problem easily. For now I will just set the open and close timer accordingly.
