About

Huatulco+ is your travel guide to Huatulco, Oaxaca, Mexico: the beaches and bays, where to eat, things to do, how to get around and who to call if something goes wrong. All in one app, in English and Spanish. What to do in Huatulco today? Open the app and see the weather, how many places are open right now and whether a cruise ship is in port. BEACHES AND BAYS 9 bays and 44 beaches, from San Agustín, Cacaluta and Maguey to Santa Cruz, Chahué, Tangolunda and La Bocana. How to get there — by car, on foot or only by boat — and what to know before you go: restrooms, food, shade, umbrella rental, lifeguards and where the snorkeling is good. WHERE TO EAT, DRINK AND STAY Restaurants, cafés and bars in La Crucecita, Santa Cruz and Chahué: seafood, Mexican food, tacos, pizza, sushi and more, with opening hours and what's open right now. Hotels in Tangolunda, Chahué and La Crucecita, plus supermarkets, ATMs and gas stations, all on the map. TOURS AND EXPERIENCES Boat trips around the bays, snorkeling, fishing, waterfalls, coffee farms, mezcal, cooking classes and more, with price, duration and reviews, to book online. A beach's page shows the tours that visit it. TAXIS AND THE AIRPORT Huatulco's taxi stands with their phone numbers, one tap to call, including the authorized airport taxi. Airport-to-hotel transfers to book online, and places sorted by distance from where you are. WEATHER AND SEA Today's weather — temperature, feels-like, wind, UV index, tide and waves — and the forecast for the days ahead. CRUISE DAYS When a cruise ship is at the Santa Cruz pier, the home screen tells you how long it will be in port, so you can pick a quieter bay. SEASONS For Day of the Dead, Mexican Independence, the Guelaguetza, Holy Week, Christmas and New Year, the guide changes with the celebration and tells you how to enjoy it in Huatulco. NATURE 197 local species — birds, fish, reptiles, mammals, insects, plants and marine life — each with a photo, the months it is seen and which ones to keep away from, plus the ecosystems they live in. EMERGENCIES, EVEN OFFLINE 911, hospitals, clinics, the Red Cross, ambulances, tourist police, firefighters, Civil Protection, the coast guard and a 24-hour pharmacy, one tap to call. The list is saved on your iPhone the first time you open the app online, so it works even offline. ASK AND PLAN Which beach works with kids? Where can we have a romantic dinner? An AI concierge answers with real places from the guide, and My trip builds a day-by-day plan around your dates, your group and what you like. Save your favorites and explore everything on the map. Huatulco+ is free to download, and the guide — places, search, map and Emergency — has no limit. The concierge includes a few free questions a day, up to a monthly limit, and the trip planner a few free plans a month. The optional trip pass raises both for 30 or 90 days, for you or your group: it is bought in the app, never renews on its own and belongs to your account. The concierge uses artificial intelligence and can make mistakes. Check opening hours and prices before you go. If you book a tour or transfer with our partners, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
