FAQ
How does HufuVault protect my documents?
HufuVault encrypts your files on your device using AES-256-GCM before they leave. It then splits each file into three parts, storing them across your own cloud services and a small key with HufuVault. This ensures no single location holds enough data to reconstruct your documents.
Can HufuVault access my documents?
No, HufuVault is designed with zero knowledge by design. It never receives your file contents or cloud credentials. Your clouds are connected via their own sign-in pages, and HufuVault only stores the folder link you provide.
What happens if I forget my gesture code for HufuVault?
You can recover access to your vault by using your chosen recovery phrase (a 12-word phrase) or by answering three security questions you set up during initial setup.
Can I use HufuVault on multiple devices?
Yes, you can restore your files on a new device by importing your key. HufuVault also allows direct transfers between your own devices.
Does HufuVault have ads?
No, HufuVault does not contain advertisements. It is a free application with optional in-app purchases.
