Never forget where a pot is — or when it must be tended. Hummerfiske keeps track of what matters in the Norwegian lobster season: your pots, the deadlines and the rules. THE TENDING CLOCK Every pot gets a ticking deadline — the law requires tending at least once a week. The app warns you the day before and on the day. Tend a pot and put it back in, and it keeps its number and name — only the clock restarts. PLACE THE POT WHERE IT IS Tap “Sett teine” where the boat is, or long-press on the chart to place it where it actually lies — also afterwards. The card shows protection-zone status, depth and distance for that exact point. One or two buoy colours per pot. THE COMPASS Tap the distance in the list and the arrow points to the pot. Find it again in the waves — or drag for it if the buoy is gone. NAUTICAL CHART WITH THE ZONES The Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries’ protection zones and no-fishing areas are built in, and the colours are always on the chart. Switch between nautical chart and detailed map, and save your area so the chart works without coverage. THE HOLDING CAGE Keeps the count, reminds you to feed, remembers the 1 December reporting duty and the emptying before New Year. THE RULES WHERE THE BOAT IS Season, pot limit and legal carapace length for your position — plus an on-screen ruler and a roe check. WITH PRO As many pots and lobsters in the cage as you like, wave height and wind at each pot, and your best spots on the chart — with season-by-season statistics on bait, depth and pot type. The tending clock, the zones on the chart and the rules are always free. Everything stays on your phone — no account, no tracking. You can correct or delete your own hauls whenever you like.
