About

The phone is the plant. Open an iPhone Duo and the inner screen becomes the inside of a Venus flytrap's mouth. Bugs fly in and land on the two leaves. Fold the phone halfway shut and the jaws come down: everything that has landed gets eaten. Close it all the way and the plant moves to the outside screen, googly eyes and all, while the game waits for you. On any other iPhone, and on iPad, touch the screen to bite. The trap stays shut until you let go. EAT THE BUGS, NOT THE WASPS • Flies, aphids, beetles, fireflies, grasshoppers and big horned beetles, each worth its own points. • Every bug in one bite multiplies the score, so it pays to wait for a crowd. Wait too long and they fly off: watch for the shiver that says a bug is about to go. • Take a bug at the very moment it tries to leave for a JUST IN TIME bonus. • Beetles have to be cracked before they can be eaten. • Bite a wasp and it costs you a heart. Hornets cost two, and they steal your dinner. • Shake your phone and anything that stings lets go, but it startles everything else too. • Hold the trap shut and the clock stops while you look at the outside of the plant. SIX WAYS TO PLAY Five levels, from Chill to Swarm, each a one-minute round that gets busier as it goes. Chill has nothing that stings, so it's the place to learn the bite. In the timed levels, run out of hearts and the round scores nothing. Then there's Endless: no clock, three hearts, and a plant that gets hungrier the longer you last. RANKED ON GAME CENTER Swarm and Endless have leaderboards, for points and, in Endless, for time survived. See where you stand among your friends or everyone, today, this week or all time, and collect achievements along the way. Folding and tapping are different games, so iPhone Duo players have leaderboards of their own, and you can look at either set from any device.
