Glitchy app, can’t even create an account
Trying to solve Dead below Deck and no one in the group can get into the app. We keep getting error messages. Very disappointing!

Website doesn’t work. App doesn’t have Murder at the Motel as an option. Waste of $35 buying the game.

everything works fine, and i spend like two hours trying to solve it and then the second i solve and send in my guess the finale video and sound clip didn’t make any noise? very disappointed when i felt so good to get the answer right but i don’t get the pleasure of knowing the conclusion, amazing game, very very crappy app.

Needs support for iPad. Clearly designed on a tight budget
GREAT GAME - but beware!!
My husband saw that I was enjoying this game very much, and bought a second subscription to it through Amazon (according to a HAK customer support person many months ago.)
A sweet gesture, but after my husband had a stroke, and duplicates of the game began piling up, I called (back then you could call) to ask to cancel his subscription.
I was told they could not, as he bought it thru AMAZON. Whaaaaaa? My hands were full as I was taking over our finances, and my husband’s short-term memory was affected by the stroke. I cancelled MY subscription and tried like crazy to find the subscription in his Amazon account.
Could not find it. We now have a wall of stacked, unopened game boxes. He has no idea which card pays for it, and I am still struggling as those bills come to his email, which he ignores.
BE CAREFUL!!! This can happen to anyone who buys/receives it as a gift. I DO intend to get back to the game when my life levels out, but in the meantime, I feel ripped off every time a box arrives. It used to be a joy.

Good idea but glitchy
The app is a great idea and fun to use but some of the videos don’t play audio and you have to start the video all over to hear it
Awesome game, poor application
Me and my husband was doing one of the one-off hunt-a-killer games where we needed to download this app. I understand how helpful it can be, but on the iPad it is horrible. Some of the images were such horrible quality we couldn’t make out the text and because of that he missed out on an important clue, the video playback has a bunch of errors. We had to watch videos of suspect statements, but we couldn’t rewind the video to catch what some of them were saying without restarting the entire video. It would be great if there were subtitles to these videos, as I have bad hearing.

Need to support iPad, too!
I love the games, finished a few. However, I prefer my iPad over the phone to doing these games and I think the app should have its own version for the iPad. If HAK does this I’ll change my review to 5 stars.
Payments
I used this company for a few months and paused my subscription. I then went back the next month to do the same because i didn’t have the money to pay this month after other expenses. They did not allow me to pause the subscription again and proceeded to charge my card. They refuse to give me refund and my messages will no longer send to their messaging on the website. This is a terrible company and I have since canceled my subscription

Don’t buy as a gift
Purchased this as a gift for a friend, as was recommended on the site. The pricing model is NOT built for gifting. My card was charged again automatically after 6 months without a notification. The only notification i received was from my credit card company AFTER the charge went through, at which point I was denied a refund. Save yourself the trouble.

Helpful but..
I’ve completed the first series of Hunt A Killer and this would have been amazing to have! BUT I have started the Horror series and this isn’t available on this app. Super bummed about that. I will say, the first episode you ever do will take you 2-10 minutes depending what you start doing first. There is SOOO much more in that first episode than just finding that task. Just keep going! You will be hooked. Totally worth the money! I always shipped my boxes quicker Bc it was so addicting!

Awesome concept… HUGE ripoff
I was so excited to sit down and dive into this adventure and see what I could uncover. Little did I know that I would be solving “episode 1” in about 10 minutes and asked if I’d like to spend another $30 for the next part to come. This was extremely underwhelming and very remedial. I messaged the company and the response was halfhearted and I was told it’s not a speed competition and the first part is an introduction. Who would ever spend $180 on this…

Got this because I got an email saying they started an app. This is so much easier then logging onto laptop every time I want to look at something. Haven’t seen any glitches yet. Saves me time, 10/10
