Paying for pro
I am paying for pro but the app keeps asking me to upgrade! I have paid yearly for the service for 5 years and now it won’t give me features.
Not just for hunters
I own forest land that was hit in Sept 2024 by a hurricane. This year I started looking for an app to help me make new walking trails, follow ephemeral streams, mark natural springs, creeks & wetlands along with the plants & animals. I tried so many apps for this project and even the highly rated ones wouldn’t track. Then I found Huntstand! This app works even if you don’t pay for the extras!! I’m no where near done with this project yet well on my way. Plus, I’ll have all the evidence I need of damage done by neighboring property owners all in one place!!
If I was to complain about anything, it’d be the markers. These are plain & simple which works; it’d just be fun to have some variety.
This will also be my go to app for hiking public lands. No more getting lost when told to take the white blazes all the way there when ooops that spur trail was left out of the directions. Went 10 miles or more past that turn off. Had we continued, those white blazes would’ve taken me from Mass to Canada. Lol

They will take your money for a yearly subscription and raise the price 6 months later and shut you out. This apps pro version is worse than onx free version

Bad update
I want a refund on the subscription for this app. I can no longer measure in feet. I do not measure by yards, miles, meters, or kilometers.

Cancelling the app is an unmitigated disaster. However customer service did address and correct the problem
Same subscription, removed all the features
My husband has paid for a basic subscription for several years, which used to include property owner map overlays. He pays over $30 a year for this. His basic subscription just auto-renewed for $30, and there are still no added overlays or features that he used to have. He essentially paid the price of a pro subscription, but got a basic subscription, which is now advertised as a free subscription. HuntStand needs to update their legacy subscriptions to match the current subscription features. Very disappointed, as the basic subscription that we paid $30 for includes nothing essentially except for a map that we can get free anywhere else.

Usability has returned
Usability had improved. Updating my review since it has been updated and ways to access have been put back. Apps been great and worked well for me for several years now.
Moving on
Although I liked some features I found it hard to use and after two years and several videos I still didn’t understand how to use it. It’s time to try something different
Not close to being accurate
Gross misrepresentation . Photos of the property from last 3 months are TWO YEARS OLD.
Customer Service Sucks
I’ve been using the app for over 3 years and just recently April 2026 I can not use search feature anymore and of course customer service in out of the country and doesn’t understand English. My group is moving over to X Maps.
Terrible Billing
Warning! They’ll continue to bill you without notice or receipt! This app does not show up on Apple subscription list. Terrible customer service
A Decade of Huntstand
I've used Huntstand for the better part of 10 years. I do know there are other apps out there, but this is the one. The ability to connect this app to my StealthCams and other apps has proven extremely handy. Any issues with the app are tackled and fixed immediately by customer service. If you ise Stealth or Muddy Cameras and aren't using HuntStand. You're only causing problems for yourself. Here's to the next decade!

BEWARE
PLEASE GET ONYX. Never had a problem with maps updating and staying recent until this week and have had previous worries about ownership of properties and reliability on information. This is a paid service and not a cheap one. Got something that is backed by county tax records and NOT WHAT EVER THIS IS IT IS NOT ACCURATE AT ALL. After receiving a trespassing notice i am now ending all further transactions and going to a more reputable and reliable map service.

New App Version
I use this app almost everyday for work and hunting. This app went from being 5 start to unusable. The latest version that got released a few months agois so terrible and unreliable that I will be suspending my subscription and switching to OnX.

App was really good but was hit with bugs one after another. They also have been cutting some options from the free version and we now get spammed non-stop to have us pay.
Functional
It works but the by month satellite images are beyond useless. Literally a waste of data. Zoom in to see nothing but blocks the images are so bad.
