The biggest update since launch: manual exposure, cinematic and spatial video, slow motion, night modes, and a rebuilt camera panel. MANUAL MODE — Pro Manual exposure that genuinely reaches the sensor, including on multi-camera iPhones, where the combined camera system quietly refuses manual settings. Corner dials for ISO, shutter and focus with detents at real photographic stops, and a focus dial from macro to infinity. At the largest text sizes the dials become a full-screen panel with steppers. CINEMATIC & SPATIAL VIDEO — Pro Record with depth: set a simulated aperture before rolling, tap to rack focus while filming, tap again to lock. Spatial captures 3D video for Apple Vision Pro. SLOW MOTION & TIME WARP — Pro 120 or 240 fps, bound to the lens that owns the format. Time Warp adapts its interval as the recording grows, so an hour condenses into a watchable movie with no math. Leave the app mid-capture and the movie still finishes and saves. LONG EXPOSURE & ASTRO — Pro Two tripod night modes: light trails and smooth water, or star trails and pinpoint stars. Everything merges on the device. SHOW MODE — free Dims the screen, keeps the flash off, and captures several frames on every press to keep the best. For concerts and live shows where you want the shot without lighting up the room. DARK RIDE MODE — free Switch it on in Settings for a chip that dims the whole screen to a monochrome minimum and holds flash, torch and screen flashes off. Film dark rides and theaters without disturbing anyone; the chip itself stays visible as the way out. STEADY CAM — free, on by default Video now records stabilized. Turn it off for the wider frame on a tripod or gimbal. The photo stability delay is now called Steady Snap, so the two read distinctly. A NEW CAMERA PANEL The bottom controls are one glass panel instead of three stacked capsules: a thin bar showing only what you have switched on, opening into a single surface that reveals just the options that apply, then puts itself away. The viewfinder is now framed to exactly what will be captured, and the torch button now lights the torch while you film. SNAPPY KIT Nine tools on a ring beside the shutter, off until you switch them on. Text Grab reads text off whatever you point at, Fine Print magnifies and speaks small print, and Show and Scan sends a photo to a nearby iPhone with no network, cable or pairing — those three are free.
