Questionable content
Husker Extra has been using the same Husker History Highlight of Jerry Tagge’s national championship winning touchdown from 1971 for nearly a year now. There’s so much are so many other worthy history highlights that could be uncovered with just a small amount of research. I remember when journalists took pride in content and attention to details like spelling and grammar.

Update?
The app hasn’t been updated in 2 yrs. So many broken parts to the app that makes it difficult to use.
No longer free
Used to be my favorite app for Huskers news. After the update, someone got greedy and decided it is no longer free. If your willing to pay it is good for Husker news. Not me tho since there is simply just google searches.
Excessive monthly subscription cost
Meh - most of the football related articles are available through a quick Google search for free. Fairly certain the subscriptions for the sites that aren’t available for free doesn’t come close to totaling the $10.99 monthly subscription cost for this app (for example, the Lincoln Journal Star offers a subscription for $.99 for 3 months). In my opinion, this app is not worth the excessive monthly cost. For the information provided in the app, I might be willing to pay $.99 a month for the convenience of accessing material found on Google or media sites requiring a subscription in one spot.

App not functioning properly on IPad
This new app won’t rotate on IPad screen and worse yet the text won’t fit on the screen so can’t use it all on my iPad but works fine on my iPhone? Please fix these issues. Thanks
Got greedy
Great app somebody got greedy and now have to pay for this app!
No background listening
Love the content and really want to pay. But not being able to have the podcasts play in the background is a nonstarter. Fix that and I’ll come back. I’d love to support local journalism. But it has to work.

The podcasts are entertaining and if you are interested In Nebraska sports, this is a must have.
App Broken
The free app now requires a login but does not allow an account to be created. After entering the information, the app shows a white screen indefinitely. Lousy service!

Unhappy in Nevada
Used to love it but since the last update I’m not able to read anything. I touch something to read it and it tells me your request cannot process at this time and at the bottom it says retry or cancel because it won’t load. If this gets fix I would love it again. Complaint from Husker fan in Nevada.

Portrait only view is big detractor
I really liked the previous app layout better. The big minus with this new app layout is forcing you into portrait only mode, there is no screen rotation, no ability to put in landscape view. The stories are fresh but seem slow to matriculate to the website or app. Or maybe just slow news.
New version not an improvement
Well, you finally did it. Converted the well designed previous App into the same format as the poorly designed Journal Star App. Oh well, good things eventually come to an end. Articles harder to read with all the ads and videos embedded on them that have nothing to do with the article. Rating of 3 is generous.

One Stop Shop For All Cornhusker News
This is the only app I have on my iPad and my iPhone for Nebraska sports. I’ve checked out others but none of them even come close. Great coverage for all sports and up-to-the-minute news.

You can read articles without getting blocked after a few articles. Good to read quality articles about the Huskers from afar.

Just as current, relevant and informative. And the best part... no limits to the number of “free” articles you can access per 30 days. Great Husker coverage. Keep it up.
