no go. seems like another junk app. you’re telling me i gotta PAY? i mean there’s other ways to find hot wheels in general that are much better and easier

This is not a review of the app, as developers we are actively reviewing all reviews to better our product. Sadly this is not a review of the product. We offer a risk free 3 day trial with no adds. Scraping over 6,000 cars and the development of this app costs real money.

Paywall and scalper focused

Tried it out after seeing a dozen posts on it on Facebook. The dude used to shill post to get users to join. The concept seems cool from the posts but it’s a $3 PER MONTH paywall as soon as you log in. I tried to trial run seems ok but very much aimed at scalpers not really for collectors. I’ve told the creator a few constructive criticism on his posts but he has now blocked me and has PMed me saying he’s trying to build something for the community which in my opinion seems to be more of the scalper community. Wrote this review so I hope he sees it and hope he messages me back and unblocks me so we can have the “debate” he wanted there. Overall 1/5 stars.

Typically we would response with a helpful response but this review is clearly a user that is not reviewing the merit of the app and using this platform to share their displeasure with the idea of monetizing Hot Wheels. This user is referring to a grass roots campaign shared by the developers to many FB groups. We are in no way a scam, We offer a risk Free 3 day Trail and are upfront with the cost. This as been submitted to apple for review. This users review is a reflection of a personal opinion of the market and frustration that the developers would not engage in their negative comments on FB.

Stops working

App keeps freezing or wanting me to buy the next level up option for a profile. When you click no or close the prompt, it tries to load a subscription but can’t and then stays on a fuzzy page until you close the app. I have to remove the app every 20 minutes, and reinstall just to update or explorer the app.

We have one level of subscription, this includes a 3 day free trial. The on board asks you to included your details but you are not able to use the app until you opt into that free trail.

Great app on its way to being a fantastic app

This is what diecast collectors are always asking for. It not only logs your collection, but also tracks the value deepening on AI analytics and market price fluctuations. Some cars are easier to find than others, but if you’re willing to do some occasional manual entries, you can help build a robust catalog that the entire community will benefit from. A year from now this app will be amazing. I’m gonna help get it there.

Clunky and greedy

Awful experience, took 5 min to enter password and then got paywall that stuck. Don’t recommend.

We apologize for your experience. We fully disclose that we have in app purchases, the "5 mins" you experienced is about 2 mins of what is called an On-Board. It is meant to get to know a user. We do offer a free 3 day trial if you ever decided to come back and give it a real try. Thank you.

Not accurate

Bought subscription yesterday cancelled it today says still active till the end of month but the app doesn’t let have full access anymore even though I paid for the month also first got wheel I scanned didn’t register correctly rlc 83 Silverado greenie going for $2500 was marked at 300 which prompted me to cancel subscription beware this app doesn’t work correctly at all

We apologize for any confusion, our AI scanner can be wrong, we always suggest users add from our catalog with over 5,000 cars. Our Ai scanner is a bonus but not our bread and butter. Our walk through should help explain to users the difference between scanning and adding a car. I can assure you the car your speaking of is properly priced and in our market page. You should have also been suggested this casting if it scanned incorrectly. Thank you for giving it a chance.

Misleading App

App does not “track” inventory data unless a user uploads it himself, which is misleading and doesn’t work. I would recommend implementing an open source website c+ or python script to monitor stock at stores near certain users. There are no updates on stores near me, which renders the app useless.

We apologize the store inventory side of this app did not work as you expected. For this feature we are a community driven inventory tracker, if the user does not supply the check ins the app can not provide any info. With more check-ins and info the app will give you the information you are hoping for.
