Hybris

What is the Hybris? It is a custom designed and magnet-based shock absorber to reduce high and low frequency vibrations and hard impact shocks. Those are typically experienced when shooting from moving platforms on rough terrain or paved roads. What makes the Hybris special and unique? A new damping experience! A finely balanced and adjustable linear eddy current brake (magnets) and spring system gives you a stable platform from which to shoot. The fact that it operates without contact means it is wear-free and unaffected by weather conditions. Due to the eddy current break characteristics the Hybris system starts already to react in a range of millimeters when minimum position changes occur. Significant changes in position and speed leads to a movement delay of the shock absorber which provoke that the image of the camera is stable. The Hybris allows a spring range of 46 cm and a payload between 1-40kg (without applying any additional weights to the system). Moreover, the use of microcontrollers enables a high precision damping fine tuning and can be controlled manually or via Hybris App (Bluetooth). The front mount can be set for under or over slung, use of any camera, gimbal or stabilized head. Therefore, the Hybris achieves the optimum position for the perfect shot. Made in Germany.
