causing ‘a problem repeatedly occurred’ safari error

i could not figure out what was causing this error for the longest time. only stopped happening when i uninstalled this extension. i really did like the extension, so i’m a little sad i can’t use it anymore because it causes this error.

Hyperweb rocks you worldwide

Hyperweb is the star of my iPhone. It gives someone who has hacked my device a new option to take over a high security iPhone without becoming noticed to the user who has been trying to get rid of her from his device or actually kill a person without being caught. I recommend Hyperweb to anyone that wants to be hacked forever

App appears dead

Support link here 404’s, and the discord is just spam… it looks great, but a lot of the functionality in the guide appears missing. Other functionality, there’s no guide to. Like the custom enhancements.

Have emailed the devs, will update rating if I hear back!

I WISH IT WORKED!

This would be the one and only perfect adblock safari enhancing app that we would all need. In fact you should put a price tag on it with a free trial obviously. Everyone would buy it. But the biggest problem is the adblocking even tho you can add your own adblocking filters. This app just wont block all the ads like other app blockers. Like adblock pro. Im sorry.

Awesome

As long as you remember not to activate everything, this app is awesome! I'm using iphone 15 pro max with the newest beta of ios 18 and hyperweb takes what I hate about the internet and makes it go away. Loooooooove! But when you turn on too many settings, it can really cause some glitch grimlins to appear to try a few settings and see how things go. Then try some more. Don't turn on a million. Lol. Byeeeee!

Not working for me

I’m unable to get the custom script to execute or the advanced enhancements even with a simple rule that should apply on any url as a test

Overriding not doing anything.

Following instructions to change search engine but still goes to system default

Doesn’t seem to work anymore

None of the ad blocking or anything else seems to work anymore

Seemingly abandoned by devs

As many other reviews have noted, this app has not had any updates at all for over a year now and moreover no longer maintains an accessible & up-to-date privacy policy. None of the ad filter lists update anymore & haven’t for months. It’s unfortunate since I did actually like this app’s extensive features/functionality; however, the current lack of updates & radio silence from the devs is always a sketchy situation & doesn’t bode well—take my advice and move on.

⚠️Warning: Developer/Company Seems To Be Defunct

While other users have noted that there has not been any updates to the app for a while and that the app’s privacy policy leads to an inexistent/unreachable website, I found some additional evidence that the developer is MIA (I hope they are okay).

The developer’s website and privacy policy page currently have an invalid security certificate that expired back in February 02, 2024. It was last renewed on November 23, 2023 using a Let’s Encrypt 90-day certificate, which are usually renewed automatically. This is a pretty good indicator that the website has been completely abandoned.

The same thing goes for the developer’s other app’s website for Insight Browser. Its website certificate was last issued on November 14, 2023 and expired on February 12, 2024.

I would say be careful of continuing to use the app. Hopefully the dev didn’t have something terrible happen to them.

17.4 Glitch

Hyper web having issues with 17.4. Most sites not dark and error showing Hyperweb

I appreciate

Glad

Hyperweb is awesome!

Brought to you by the developers of Insight Browser, it has all sorts of helpful extensions to make your Safari browsing experience more efficient. It’s FAST, too! 2023 Update: PLEASE allow us to MUTE sites like you used to! (I’ve tried to contact developers multiple times about this to no avail.) If so, I’ll change back to 5 stars. Otherwise, love it!

Unsure About This

It works perfectly fine, I haven’t experienced any issues. A few sites don’t change to dark mode, but I believe that’s down to the programming of the sites themselves.

However, I’m really unsure about what data is stored through this app, does it have access to all of your searches, visited sites etc? does it keep logs? If so, what does it store in those logs? The developers Privacy Policy hugely differs from the App Store privacy labels, so it’s impossible to tell if by installing an extension to remove tracking etc, you are actually enabling further tracking.

Until this is made clear, I will be uninstalling and using more transparent alternatives.

If You Value Privacy At All — Avoid This App

On the app’s download page, the developer gives the impression that they don’t collect much data and that what they do collect is anonymous. This is HIGHLY misleading, and this practice should be banned by Apple. In the developer’s privacy policy, which has to be typed + opened separately in a browser (something they know most won’t do), the astonishing amount of data this extension collects is revealed. This app, as others have pointed out, essentially spies on EVERYTHING you do in your safari browser. “If it’s free, you’re the product” definitely rings true for this app. User beware!

What the heck is this thing doing?

It seems I'm having the opposite experience the app intends. It breaks the Internet on my phone when I use Safari. Sites just break. Lots of sites. They crash. Links don't work. They get stuck in endless loading loops. Pictures won't load. Video won't play. Using Google search on Safari with this app is like using dialup from 1993. I don't know what it's doing for all the five-star reviewers.

If I use another browser without Hyperweb, everything works fine. If I use Safari without Hyperweb, everything works fine. The second I start using Hyperweb, Safari is a dumpster fire. Pretty clear correlation there, and I'm not tech-dumb. So what's going on?

Works, if you don’t value your privacy.

If it’s free, you’re usually the product. They essentially spy on all of your activity on Safari. As per their privacy policy:

"Usage Data may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
We may also collect information that Your browser sends whenever You visit our Service or when You access the Service by or through a mobile device."

App is no longer being supported despite multiple major bugs

Long time user of this app -- a few months ago I started seeing that the element picker dialog for block element/autoclicker goes away almost as soon as it appears once an element is tapped on, so it's now impossible to hit "Continue" to actually create the block/autoclick. This has been left unfixed, and now I'm unable to even perform a Google image search without this extension crashing the browser tab, despite the fact that this extension doesn't even do anything with Google image searches. Right now I'm keeping this installed just because it blocks ads on Twitter but it's super annoying having to turn this off every time I want to do an image search.
