About

I&C Pro is a comprehensive calculator toolkit built by a working power plant commissioning engineer, for instrumentation and control (I&C) engineers who work at the plant. No spreadsheets or reference tables — every calculation you need is one tap away. ■ 16 calculators across 7 categories [Loop & Signal] - mA → Set Value: Convert 4-20 mA current signal to process value - Set Value → mA: Convert process value to 4-20 mA signal - Square Root Converter: Linear ↔ √ mA linearization [Flow & Pressure] - DP ⇌ SCALE Converter: Between differential pressure and flow rate - O₂ Compensation: Compensate gas value by reference O₂ - Gas Unit Converter: ppm, mg/m³, %, mg/L [Temperature] - Thermocouple Converter: NIST-based T/C mV↔temperature (K, J, T, E, and more) - RTD Pt100 Calculator: Resistance↔temperature for Pt-385/Pt-392 (2/3-wire compensation) [Tank & Silo] - Tank Level Calculator: Cylindrical tank volume and level, drawn to the entered proportions - Silo Level Calculator: Cylinder+cone silo capacity, mass and estimated run time [Instrument Calibration] - Pressure Visualizer: Interactive absolute / gauge / vacuum / atmospheric relationship, live comparison across 11 pressure units - Chemical Tank Level Tx Verification: 22 water-treatment chemical presets (HCl, H₂SO₄, NaOH, N₂H₄, NH₄OH and more), temperature correction, transmitter verification and diagnosis - Level Compensator: Heater and drum level density compensation (new) [Vibration] - Vibration Converter: Displacement-Velocity-Acceleration for rotating machinery (Bently Nevada mils/ips ↔ ISO mm/s, RMS/0-p/p-p) - Disp Probe Gap & Simulation: Displacement probe gap calibration, VMS signal simulator, sensor library, DXD gap setting [Utility] - Percentage Calculator: Percentage, increase and decrease ■ Level Compensator — the heart of this release Saturated water and steam change density sharply with pressure, so a DP level transmitter does not read the true level without density compensation. Level Compensator computes the difference. - Two DCS algorithms: Siemens T3000 LEVEL block (ID 605) and Emerson Ovation LEVELCOMP - Four vessels: HP heater, LP heater, flash tank, HRSG steam drum — each with its own schematic - Built on IAPWS-IF97 steam tables (Regions 1/2/4) - Enter DP, mA or a sight-glass reading — the signal chain resolves either direction - Gauge-glass density correction, shown as a reference for how low the glass reads - DCS zero offset, alarm setpoints, and display end-stop handling - Per-project configuration profiles Verified against real plant operating data — from 1 bar to 200 bar, across two DCS vendors, including a full day of 2880 samples. ■ Key features - Fully offline — works inside plant networks with no connectivity - Live calculation — results update as you type - Guidance panel on every calculator — purpose, inputs, formula and field tips - 10 languages — English, 한국어, Tiếng Việt, Bahasa Indonesia, 中文(简体), العربية, Español, Français, Português, Русский - Project profiles — save and recall setups on the configuration-heavy calculators - Grounded in real field work — used on site by the engineer who wrote it ■ Who it is for - Power plant commissioning engineers - Instrumentation and control staff at refineries and chemical plants - Instrument maintenance and calibration technicians - Nuclear, thermal, combined-cycle and solar generation professionals - I&C students and instructors Built by a field engineer, for field engineers. - Speed Probe & Teeth: compares the rpm that different tooth counts produce from the same pulses — diagnoses redundant probes that share constants and fail together.

What's New in I&C Pro

2.1

August 11, 2026

Fixes a crash that closed the app when opening the Level Compensator on iOS 26. Apologies for the disruption. - The reference-leg temperature was held in two separate fields, one per vendor tab. One configuration could therefore give very different answers on Siemens T3000 and Emerson Ovation. Now there is one field. - Switching vendor tabs no longer overwrites your inputs, so a single configuration can be compared across both. - Saved configs are now kept per vessel type. Existing saves are moved automatically. - A warning when the two vendor tabs disagree by more than their density correlations explain — this catches a CALIB Range entered in the wrong direction. - New calculator: Speed Probe & Teeth. Compares the rpm two different tooth counts produce from the same pulses.
