Perfect 🌟

Although this app seems outdated the content certainly is not. It is free and genuinely helps, I’m learning to decipher between similar constants and I can choose to turn on a noisy background which makes it more authentic

Good starter app

Free, easy way to get into CI rehab and training. It’s pretty simple but is great for the first month or two of rehab. Would recommend.

Who did this?

The worst app ever. No direction at all on how to navigate the app. Poorly designed. Doesn’t deserve even one star.

Nice idea but this is useless right now.

Very Buggy. Constant refresh needed and sometimes only the end of a word gets repeated after multiple refreshes. VERY FRUSTRATING. Grading is wonky.

Lack of Accessibility for deafblind, Low Vision and Visual impaired

I was disappointed to find that the I-Angel Sound app for iPhone and iPad does not offer Dark Contrast or adjustable text size, which are vital accessibility features for users with Low Vision and Visual Impaired. To address this, I-Angel Sound should prioritize adding accessibility options to their app and website. I do t like bright white background and blue text is difficult to read.

Too many issues

This app could be great, but it doesn’t work… a lot. Too many time I have to hit the repeat button because it’s just chiming instead of saying a word. Some days it just won’t say the word and I just give up.

Repeat until it plays sound

You have to repeat/hit refresh until the app plays sound. I used this app with my audiologist at initial stimulation, and I could not hear a thing, she told me that I would eventually hear it, but it was clearly a bug with the app.

I am a re-implant, so I knew what to be expecting, and had previously used this app.

There are times I have to hit refresh 10 times before I actually hear something in my implanted ear.

1 star.

It’s ok

It’s free so I guess I can’t expect a lot. It’s just ok. Most of the time you have to have it repeat the word a few times. It won’t say the work just a sound. Eventually, when it won’t say the word at all I just call it quits for the day and move on to another app for training

Good app, but…

I believe the content of this app can be of great value to a cochlear implant recipient doing rehab, but it seems to disconnect the audio between each exercise. To overcome this problem, I repeat the audio clip until it plays. This should not be necessary.

Need updating

Need to update the app to keep current

Discrimination against disabled

No ability to enlarge the fonts on the app for people with low vision. It’s as if the developer has no clue about the population that would be users of this app. So sick of companies who claim to develop things for disabled and then fail to be 508 compliant.

Bluetooth drops out

The biggest problem I find is the Bluetooth connection drops out between each sound. It makes the app unworkable as by the the time the Bluetooth has reconnected the next sound has played so you don’t get to hear it
I downloaded Hearoes instead and that works perfectly

Tilton

Missing word in most of the training. Then when you try to repeat that word it is missed again so you're grading can become bad. Would love to use this program when tic are removed from it.

Ok until…

I am a recent CI recipient and came across this app at the suggestion from a friend while doing my training. It worked great until it froze. I can’t get it off the page. I guess I’ll try clearing and then redownloading it to see if I can get it started again. SO disappointed!!

Idea is good, but needs a user interface for navigation

Seems impossible to find one’s way between eg settings and exercises. Not updated for 2 years. Maybe someone could sort it out. Please!

Very buggy - nonfunctional

Obviously this app is still nonfunctional as what was accurately critiqued in December 2019. iOS 13, iPhone 8 Plus.

This app is bad

This app has people who speak with an accent. That makes them very hard to understand them and you only do one thing so I give it 1-2 stars

Terrible functionality

I got this to help me train with my new CI. It seemed to work OK at first but now is super buggy. No audio. I’ve tried all their troubleshooting on the webpage, un-installing and re-installing the app, even calling the phone number on their website, which was a non-operational number. I’ve tried streaming the audio through Bluetooth speakers, through the iPhone itself, etc etc. The app only speaks a word aloud maybe an 1/8 if the time if you’re lucky. Dismal functionality and even worse customer support (non-existent). I’d give this zero stars if I could.

Not very good

It very American accent I can’t understand them with my cochlear implant. Not suitable for Ci who never heard of accents. Would be good without accents. The replay button is far too small not great either!!!

Too small since update

Since the recent update, the app is too small for my vision. The app doesn’t fill the whole screen anymore. iPhone X. Fix this bug please.
