Great Research Tool
I have a Simrad on my boat, but this app allows me to use it on the water or from my living room. I just came back from a jetski trip where we found an awesome spot to stop and walk the waters edge. I pulled up the app and marked where we were. It’s a great app. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Awesome app for an Awesome price
I only get out to the coast for a few days a year, so I have a pretty hard time justifying the cost of some of the other marine chart apps out there. I-boating has been amazing for me, putting me onto the structure I need to find Lingcod and Halibut. Thank you guys so much!

This app is always trying to get repurchased because of an update. I don’t want the update just what I paid for . Don’t buy this app
Easy to use and understand
I love this App, it’s great for all waterways in Ontario. It’s a perfect guide for lakes and rivers ensuring you stay in the deepest water. It’s simple to use, easy to understand. It shows your position in real time.
Good maps, GPS is not good
I use this app for fishing more than for navigation, as I usually just fish inland lakes. The AI portion is helpful, the maps are pretty accurate. I have troubles with the GPS locator successfully finding where I am in relation to the maps when fishing. This is a big deal when you are trying to find specific locations on the chart in order to fish a certain structure or depth. The locations are off more than they are correct.

Not Accurate for Local Lakes
I downloaded and purchased the USA charts hoping to get a good map of my local SD lakes. The chart for Pactola reservoir is so far off that it is more like a random guess. For starters, the max depth it shows is 15-20ft. The reservoir dips below 150ft with a lot of water over 80ft deep. I gave up on it after that so I can’t comment on the accuracy elsewhere.

Coming up with to many errors
Difficult to use
Has great potential but I suspect it has not been extensively user tested. Things like moving a waypoint in a route on an iPad is way too hard. Then I get a full grey screen and have to reinstall the app.
Used for kayak fishing
I kayak fish offshore in california, a fish finder and such would be too expensuve and unnecessary on a kayak, this app did pretty good my last trip, no complaints. Only being able to download one map cell at a time isn't a big deal when you are only going a few miles on kayak, on a boat that would be annoying

Have had this app since last year. Purchased the premium version because it had many good features like follow me, potential hot spots.
BUT after using sonar in various places ice fishing and in the boat, the depth charts are NOT ACCURATE. Although the contours ARE. I understand that lake levels change year to year but should not be off by 10-12 feet. That’s a world of difference when it comes to fishing. If the depth charts for northwestern Ontario Canada can be updated I would consider keeping this app. As well as a closer satellite view of Canada that doesn’t blur out

No memory of chart purchases
I have independently purchased marine charts for the US & Canada multiple times and it never remembers that I have bought them and constantly prompts me to buy them again and update. It just feels like you’re always using a free version or a trial. She because it’s a great app otherwise.
