Mixed impressions
I appreciate the time and effort that went into this app, the work involved. The I Ching is a vast and complex oeuvre, and much is correctly transcribed.
However I have run into a few totally erroneous commentaries, which now make me check anytime I do a cast.
For just one example:
This text below for 54 is completely false.
Both quotes (taken from your 54 text) are utterly false. 54 states nothing of the sort:
“… The judgment for hexagram 54 states, "Perseverance brings good fortune. No blame," emphasising …..
In addition, the judgment also states, "Success through what is small. It is favourable to have somewhere to go”…
Nope. Nowhere even close. What happened??

Offline Usage
It would be really useful if this app functioned offline.
It appears to pull the descriptions from a backend and it is unclear why this is necessary. The app states no data whatsoever is collected but it appears to make connections to what may be a CDN that is likely collecting data on their own terms.

I left and came back - love the new journal feature!
I deleted this app awhile ago mainly because I got tired of the I Ching. Recently, I started consulting by hand again and my readings were more accurate than they’d ever been, but I got tired of casting the coins - ha! So here I am downloading this app again. What’s amazing is that I used the app to consult on two questions I had asked when casting by hand, and I got the exact same hexagrams! (Changing lines were different but same meanings came through). When I last used the app there was no journal feature, but I am loving the new addition! I don’t think I will be deleting the app again. Thank you so much for it!

Update: The latest update is a solid step forward. Though for each hexagram it takes sometimes more than 10 separate copy/paste actions since the “select all” function only goes line by line. It would be fantastic if it could select the entire page. I have tried extending it but this doesnt seem to allow going beyond a single paragraph. It is too cumbersome to select and copy each segment to get the entire thing.
Very great app, and it’s an interesting use of LLMs. I would say it is worth the price and I have high hopes in the developers vision to integrate potentially other AI models via API Keys: so that perhaps eventually we can chat about the results with AI.
