Needs a update. it won’t let me progress
The game started fine (although a bit buggy) but it started kicking me out of the app and whenever i try to open it again. A few seconds it happens again

practically unplayable
this game is unbelievably frustrating. if you don’t do everything in the exact correct sequence, it won’t trigger events or dialogue options that you need to proceed. this leaves you completely stuck with no recourse. this would be less annoying if you could load from a previous save file but whenever i try to load from anything besides the autosave file, it says the game was saved in a different language (?!?!) and restarts at the beginning. it’s a huge bummer bc the story is so interesting and i love point and click games, but after replaying the same section literally about a dozen times without being able to proceed, i’m done trying to get it to work.

Unforgettable (positive)
lots of people complain about the graphics. that’s missing the point. The slightly dated, uncanny visuals add to the discomfort and atmosphere, it wouldn’t work the same way if it looked modern or polished.
I’ve noticed a few bugs in the mobile version, but they don’t really affect the gameplay.
The writing is incredible, and AM is one of the most disturbing antagonists ever put into a game. If you’re a fan of the short story book, this is an absolute must-play. It expands on the story in a way that feels faithful and genuinely unsettling.

This game is definitely one of my favorites. I highly recommend it to people who have a good amount of patience.

Story, narrative, artwork, VO: all stellar.
The UX in the new controls leave a lot to be desired. Hitting “skip” during dialog will skip an entire conversation, not just the segment of text onscreen. The action buttons feel like they have a mind of their own sometimes, seemingly deselecting or double-tapping at random. The game also hasn’t been updated in YEARS, so any future support to address these issues is unlikely.
That said, if you’re interested in the experience being portable and playable, you can’t go wrong at $4… as long as you keep the classic control scheme.

A couple glitches but great
The game is as engaging and fun as remembered. Definitely a great adaptation of the original book. There has been a few glitches that tried soft locking me along the way but these were all known glitches that were easy fixes or required me to restart the scenario but good nontheless!

awesome game, i do get soft locked occasionally but it’s usually not a problem as i can fix it pretty easily. 100% worth the money!!
Sound Issues?
I got this game a while ago, and I absolutely love it! The problem is, after a few weeks of not playing, the sound disappeared? Ive uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and checked my settings but it wont come back. All I want to hear is AM’s sultry voice. Overall, the game’s awesome, the sound thing is the only problem. But, if you don’t mind silence when playing, it’s definitely worth it.

I listened to the BBC radio drama and really enjoyed it, decided to get the game. It’s good and emulated really well, easy to understand the controls and whatnot too.

Audio oddly doesn’t work unless my phone is connected to an output device (headphones, speakers, literally anything). Might just be my phone that’s the problem though
