User reviews

Logo

Emmanuel the y axis is the opposite of the normal Cartesian system. You need to reverse the way it is numbered as it will confuse all the kids who use this program. Otherwise it is very good

Needs improvement

Can't complain much about this App considering the cheap purchase price. However some improvements should be made. You may set the language to English but Select, Copy, Paste, Delete etc are in French and the description page is also partly in French. In addition, the LOGO language manual page is very terse and incomplete, missing out a description of many available turtle commands which can be seen in the examples. The layout of code could be clarified by allowing indentation and multiple lines but instead written functions are stored as a continuous string of code which makes for difficult reading. The example function HOUR doesn't position the hour hand according to the minutes past the hour. The array commands NOTFIRST, NOTLAST and INVERT are not understood in English mode but are in French mode. I could go on...

Happily able to save functions

Kudos for this new version that adds the ability to save functions, which feels similar to writing/defining a procedure. And thumbs up to the speed with which Emmanuel responds to user contact!

Great app to teach kids programming

I downloaded this app to introduce my 9-yr old daughter to programming. She loves it now that there is an English version. Well worth the price.

At first glance a good, fun implementation of LOGO

I am pleased that Apple have allowed this as strictly speaking it's a programming language, not that any serious code will be written in it.

Although my French is (just about) good enough to read the online manual, I'm sure this app would have wider appeal if there were an English version.
