Vicious Advertisements Ruined the Game

I have been playing this game for well over a year, as it’s the only mobile game that I am willing to play. However, there has been a recent update that has persuaded me to uninstall it for good.

I understand the need for advertisements on a free game, and they have never been an issue until recently. That was until the developer approved one type of advertisement that automatically redirects you to a website that convinced you that your device is “infected with viruses”. There’s no way to prevent this from happening and it will happen even if you aren’t touching the screen. But even worse is the advertisement that blasts a piercing beeping noise at full volume, EVEN WHEN THE APP IS OPEN IN THE BACKGROUND. This advertisement also manages to blare at full volume even when the audio for the game is disabled altogether.

The app has become unusable as a result, and these advertisements are intolerable. Unless these ads are removed from the platform, I will not be coming back and I advise you do the same. Do better.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback; it made me aware that the issue is still occurring. I’ve actually submitted many updates to fix gameplay bugs and add new features, but unfortunately, those updates were rejected. I’m still working hard to create new content and balance the ads and overall experience. If you’re interested in testing the beta version, feel free to contact me at wei@lazycell.com.

This game cured my depression

Once upon a time, I was a very sad chum with very little friends. I pretty much just went to school and lied on the couch. Until one day, my dog showed me a wonderful game called “I want Watermelon”. I immediately downloaded it (my dog being my best friend), and instantly LOVED it. It was all I did! For hours and hours I’d play this game, yet I’d never get a watermelon! Until one hot summer day and my 4,986th day of playing the game, I finally connected the ever so wonderful and beautiful two coconuts. Right as a watermelon appeared on my screen, horns from watermelon heaven were playing, I was glowing and floating, and a big watermelon gifted me with a nice hug and a welcome to watermelon heaven. I was so happy, almost overjoyed for the rest of my life!! For the rest of my life as I knew it, I’d be playing and loving this game.

How this game changed my life

I downloaded "I Want Watermelon" on a whim, expecting just another casual puzzle game. Little did I know, it would change my life in unimaginable ways. It all started during a particularly long car ride. Hours stretched endlessly on the road, and boredom began to set in. I needed something to pass the time, so I opened "I Want Watermelon." The simple yet addictive mechanics of combining fruits quickly drew me in. Each successful merge brought me closer to creating the godly watermelon. As I played, the journey seemed to fly by. The game's vibrant graphics and satisfying gameplay turned a tedious trip into an enjoyable adventure. The sense of achievement I felt with each perfect watermelon made the hours on the road disappear. But the impact of "I Want Watermelon" didn't end with that car ride. I found myself playing it during any spare moment, feeling a sense of relaxation and joy. Amongst the community of players, I started to gain recognition. My high scores and achievements made me a legend, and soon I was hailed as a god among players. Sharing my story, I inspired others to find joy and entertainment in this incredible game. "I Want Watermelon" is not just a game; it's a beacon of fun and engagement. If you're looking for a game that can turn mundane moments into unforgettable experiences, this is it. Five stars are not enough to express my gratitude for the joy and excitement it brought into my life.

Thank you for your fantastic review! Have fun!

Really addicting to my family

It all started out when I asked my dad if we can get “I Want Watermelon” but my dad said not right now because he was cleaning my house, so then I said ok when your done and he said “ok” so 30 mins later he was done and I forgot to ask him to get it and he forgot that I wanted the game. So about 2 days late my sister wanted to get it and he wasn’t doing anything except looking on Facebook (Social Media) and so my sister got it, then I told her that I wanted to get it first and I got a turn. SoI have 2 devices that have “I want Watermelon” and me and my dad played it together so I had my phone and my dad had my iPad. So November 15th 2023 my dad got I want watermelon on his phone so he could get it and you know play it, so ever since when my dad has free time he play the game 😂I mean it is a fun game just he plays it WAY more than me. So last week my cousins came over and my dad asked me to teach my cousins how to play, so I did and then they got it on there phone and they played it all the time before they left (They live in Texas and I live in California) and when they were here they played all the time. So yeah…. I dont play this game very often but my dad does and so yeah.. my dAds review is probably like a 9/10 or something and mine is 6/10. Thanks!

watermelon saved my dog

the day started just like any other. i was out walking my dog, kat, when she got distracted by a passing car, she ran towards it and got hit. i rushed over to my dying dog, laying in the middle of the road. i was overcome by a wide range of emotions. it was too much to deal with as i knelt over kat. i subconsciously pulled out my phone and opened I Want Watermelon. i started dropping those fruits like it was the only thing holding me together. but then a miracle happened. the soothing music, the essence of the fruit, and the sheer power of me finally getting that beloved watermelon, revived my dog. she jumped up, fully healed, and ran towards the side of the road with me. i can never thank I Want Watermelon enough for saving me and kats life. please download this app it’s a savior!!
