It’s great when it works
It’s a great emulator with a lot of nice features and touches. The skins are great, and it’s really easy to set up. The haptic feedback and responsiveness of the input are really nice.
But for the last year or so, I’ve been having a problem where it just freezes and becomes unresponsive. It usually happens when I switch to another app and back. If I reset the CPU, it will sometimes come back, but usually it doesn’t. Other times, the input will slow to a crawl, only accepting inputs every 2 seconds. The input will get buffered and will enter automatically at this really slow rate. While it functions, it’s not usable.
I really love this app, but it’s just become unusable. I’ve had to bring my real HP48 out of storage, but it’s hard having lost the portability and availability of having my HP everywhere I go.

Needs Updating
I loved this app, but it is not maintained and does not function under latest iOS.

Used to be great. Now constantly turns off about every 3-4 seconds. Totally unusable.

EDIT does not work on my i16 phone. Did work on my i12. Almost useless as is for me

The only calculator I use on iPhone. Sometimes freezes or crashes, though, needs updating
I love the app
This app has been great since my actual 48GX broke, and I use it often. this is the reason I give it 5 stars. that being said, while it still works on my phone, it has stopped working on my computer, where the interface is stuck, and the problem is still present if I delete and redownload the app.
Library files?
Is there a library out there that emulates the old Sparcom add ins to the HP68GX?
Needs an update
I would have given this 4 stars as I loved my HP48G, but the app has become more and more glitchy with subsequent iOS updates (ipad v16). Please help me change my rating!

my real calculator has developed lcd rot so having this app available has been great. please keep up the great work.
Froze almost immediately
When I first opened the app it asked if I wanted to recover memory. The yes/no buttons are unresponsive
great app ... but a bug with bottom row of keys
Perfect - preformed very well until i had to delete and reload. the bottom keys {0, . , spc, +} are now very flaky. verified it’s not my screen... any ideas? i won’t “upgrade” the iOS on my ‘20SE because i don’t feel like allowing apple to purposely degrade my battery.

I loved the original calculator. I love a version of the calculator on Android. I hate this one. I have to tab the buttons several times before it does the action. I have tried on 4 different iOS devices and the behavior is exactly the same. That makes it useless. Nice try, though.

Awesome app. Just like the 48G I had in engineering. Been a bit glitchy lately… but I know the team will be fixing it. It’s honestly the best calculator app around :)
Super slow
Slow to load up and register key presses. Makes this annoying to use as a calculator.

You made my day! I was looking for my old hp calculator and found this emulation for iOS. Same calculator I had at university. Feel like home again.

I loved this app, but sadly it has stopped working on my iphone 13, SW 14.4.1.
The interface freezes and becomes unresponsive or it starts acting like I'm pushing the "Off" button. and clears the screen over and over.

New version introduces lag
Don't update if you haven't already. This new version introduces SIGNIFICANT lag into key input, sometimes just ignoring input altogether, other times sending the last 3 commands through all at once. This makes it unusable. Also, hitting the drop button somehow advances the time... This is the opposite of an update. This is a *downgrade*.

Good, but with a few problems
I love how it looks just like the old HP48! But sometimes, especially when first opening the app, it doesn’t register buttons that are pushed. Also, unlike some other HP48 emulator apps, it doesn’t offer any haptic feedback to help you to be sure you really pressed a button.
