Why?

This game used to be great. This new update is terrible and now makes the game unplayable! Please stop overthinking stuff and go back to original version!

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback. The bug has been corrected and released. I take your advice seriously to make sure new features don’t impact the original game my grandfather taught me to play.

Recent update destroyed it

This used to be a great game. There were some occasional glitches, but they didn’t happen often. With a recent update, though, it’s essentially unplayable. I play partners, two mine and two the computer. Nearly every game, at some point a computer player is unable to use a move and 1) the app attributes the unused roll to my player, 2) the app makes that move for my player, 3) the app rolls for my player, 4) the app again moves for my player, and 5) the app then rolls and moves for my player each turn until the computer player is again able to use a roll. When/if this is corrected, I’ll happily update my rating & review — again, it used to be a pretty good game. But as it is, don’t waste your time.

I’m sorry I missed this bug before releasing my app. Thank you for the detailed report. Version 26.1.7 is now available with a fix.

Game changes that took away the fun

In a recent update, the game took away the ability to use the star path. This was what I grew up with. The original board that I remember when I grew up had six players on it and the game took that away. You can now only do six players on the party board. I’m a little disappointed with the updates. I probably won’t be playing this game much more. It really is disappointing now.

Response from developer

I call the “star path”, corner mode. In game setup -> game play options turn corner mode on to enable the star path. Corner mode can be played with any board and any number of players.

Nice

This is a fun game to play and is worth buying. This developer really cares about making it better. Thanks for the update.

Suggestions

Aggravate a marble you get to roll again

If you are on the corner you can roll a 1 or a 6 to jump in the middle

You can aggravate a marble in the in the home column but you have to roll the exact amount to get get out. Ex jump in an opponents home with a 3 and aggravate you have to get out of the opponents home with a 3

Only If you roll double 1’s or double 6’s you get to roll again

5 marbles instead of 4

Bigger board where a 1 and a 6 gets you on the corner

We play this at the firehouse, we call it marbles. It would be nice to have these options available to practice on our phones.

Interesting rule changes. We called it marbles too. The bigger board may be too small for the iPhone screen, but may be possible on iPad. It would be a lot of code changes.
