Once, one of the best.
This app has completely lost functionality since last updates. It’s almost impossible to search and the database seems to have shrunk to around just 40 birds.

Not enough species
The app itself is quite useful just missing a lot of UK bird species. I’d rate it 5 stars if it had a bigger variety it’s a shame because otherwise I would of found it very useful.
Weak
The lite version is useless, you need to upgrade for it to have any useful number of species.
Really strange
I entered a description of a jackdaw which the app identified as a chaffinch. The Birds Around Me feature correctly identified my location but came up with a list of exotic birds which would never be seen around here. Seems to be totally random.
Not really an app, but a sales pitch
Thirty birds only, so not much use. There might be a full app somewhere, there might not. Not obvious. No real explanation of this in an easy to find place. I downloaded then deleted. Waste of time for me
Just a taster
Only 30 birds to give you an idea of what the full app offers
Songbirds
Love this App. I play it in the garden and attract lots of interest...birds and people!
Good app
A good app that gives comprehensive info on the birds featured-could do with a few more of the more common birds though.

Shame there aren't many birds to choose from!
My Review
This is a fantastic app, great photos and fantastic sounds
Great.
Looked at others and this is one that you can use easily for work or play. I would rather see proper photos in the gallery than drawings. Also more photos for each bird. None the less great!!!
Love it
I think this app is great as apart from the great pics, you can also hear the birdsong which is a real help when the bird you are trying to identify hides in a tree. Ten out of ten!
Brilliant!
Brilliant little App - it only took me 10 minutes to decide to buy the full version! Now that's good marketing.
Good for a free app
Covers most of the common uk birds, would be nice to have more, but what do you expect for free ?
Mr
Wld like to see more UK birds listed & ability to create listings from my own sightings & photos.
I-bird UK
Very good - but would like to see more than 30 birds illustrated
Ibird UK lite
This is a great app, easy to use, good pictures and complete with varying sounds of the birds. There is a lot more to this app than some I've paid for!
Excellent
Even better with the new update!
Very good but will wait till sorted before buying full version
This is a top notch, well designed and superbly illustrated guide to birds in Britain, navigating around the app is simple and fast, what strikes you is the powerful almost 3 dimensional illustrative work included, the images and photography are truly awesome.
the fact you can listen to copious arrays of sounds from calls, songs to alerts whilst analysing the spectrographic range of these sounds is really advanced and easy to use as well, lots of information is packed into every bird with links to find out and discover even more outside the app.
This is more an encyclopaedia of birds with all the information you can read after you have spotted the bird, which brings me onto the biggest flaw in the application and one that I think will really dent the sales of the full version without a doubt, there are just way to many errors, created by the lack of UK knowledge for birds, seriously the developers will have to employ a UK based birder to go through the application and correct all the US to UK mistakes.
This is a shame as I was looking forward to buying this app, but will hold off until either they state a massive UK update is pending or an update happens to adjust these mistakes.
Still a highly desirable application.
