Extremely difficult to get it to connect, have had it connected but the pro version will not connect to iPad Pro running latest iOS
Rear view camera
I’m using this as a rear view camera on my RV. Works pretty well.
A couple of things would make it better.
1. Mirror image mode.
2. On an iPhone 7, streaming over WiFi overheats the phone. I added a cooler so the phone does not overheat, but the battery swelled to the point the phone pops apart.

Confusing and waste of time
Spent quite a few hours navigating their crappy “FAQ” and could not figure out how to use the application services to utilise my iPhone as a Webcam. Will be requesting refunds from Apple ASAP.
Needs lots of work
Never connects all the cameras always some missing. Never connects at first. Proxy not clear what it is. I pay subscription I don’t see the difference.

Doesnt work if the iOS device is locked
Camera goes offline if you lock the device or even use other apps. It has to stay up top. Waste of money!

Who ever made this only wants money this app doesn’t work at all and was a waste of money.
When it decides to work
It's just OK. Getting it to connect to the source is really tricky. Then, you've got to be connected to the source in order to go back and review your recordings and you cannot export whole video clips. Just photos of the clips.
For a pay app, this thing has so much potential. As it stands now, I'm sorry I paid for it.

ICam Pro/ICamSource Pro is the best performing and most reliable of these type of apps that I have found.
I am writing this review for the great customer support. The last update to ICamSource Pro on Sept 7 broke the app for older devices still running iOS 10.1.
I sent just one email to the developer - they replied the next day - and released a new update in less than a week to fix the issue!! Thanks!

Mobile devices stay unlocked and screens on
Is it not possible to incorporate locking the device with running the app? It would be an incredible improvement if you were able to do that.
Frustrated.
So I purchased this along with the monthly service to view my cameras while I’m away from home and I’m still getting the I need to purchase private data error. Did I waste my money? I restored my purchase and it says purchased but still cannot view my cameras?
Tech support is so slow, and they refuse phone
And it takes a lot, I wish I had just got the I cam and not pro. It took me two weeks to get someone to finally email me how to get service when away from wi fi , options,- advance, -auto configure router. I should have tried some free ones first. It does work fine, once you can figure out HOW.

Thank you for the review, although it does seem like you are suggesting that it took us two weeks to respond to your email. :( It is true that cannot offer telephone support (we just do not have the resources available) but we do try very hard to respond to every support email within 12-24 hours. In this specific case, the reason the issue took almost two weeks to resolve was that iCam Pro requires the purchase of the iCam Pro Service to connect from a different network. Once Chernrock had properly restored the iCam Pro purchase in iCam Pro, the "auto-config router" setting was quickly determined to be the final setting needed to get them to connect. Works well for me
After a time of figuring what's needed, what you buy in-app, etc., it works really, really well and is an AWESOME app. The support team offered outstanding help and it provides the perfect fit for me.
Can't make it work !
Downloaded on computer then on I phone free could make it work. Then found out had to pay. So paid subscription still couldn't make it work. Went to support made me buy another app that I don't want and still doesn't work.....

Disaster
Can’t believe how confusing they made this. iCam and iCam Source worked great - try to upgrade to Pro version, assuming it will be better, and nothing works. Is there an iCam Source Pro? I downloaded it - where is it? Downloaded iCam Pro — nothing different. iCam Pro can’t find my iCam Source… zero support, zero instructions, total confusion. I do NOT understand how the people who CREATE the apps don’t know how to convey what it is or how it works. Stick with the original iCam — it’s been more than a year since they “upgraded” to Pro and they still can’t figure it out.

It seems to work well, but there are a couple things I could see as an improvement.
First it would be nice if it could auto start on launch.
Second it would be nice if it supported wide screen (as the iPhone it's on does).

In-App purchase req’d if not on same network. They charge you for proxying your data. I’m betting they’re just assuming that nobody is going to check that out before they buy it, and then they’ve put so much time into figuring out their confusing setup, that you’ll just go ahead and buy it. Not good.

Buggy Buggy Buggy
I bought this because it records the video/audio and the recorded video is better, not choppy like the old one. But it only works inside where I have wireless Internet connected. Once I go out of my house and the phone is connected with 4G LTE or other wireless available, it won't work (buy Proxy blah blah blah message), I tried playing with the different settings and still no go. So now, back to using the old one where its been working great wherever I go and no matter how I am connected. Why can't they just make the iCamPro Source as reliable like the Old one, hopefully they will fix it because I even purchased the $9.99 streaming for life. I will try it again months from now, hopefully the bugs are fix then.
