Doesn’t work
Bought this for cubasis 3. It doesn’t work, either in cubasis or on its own. Suspiciously disappeared from the app store immediately after too.

J’ai récemment fait l’acquisition de quatre produits Steinberg – Iconica Sketch, Etude, Verve et HALion Sonic – et je suis sincèrement impressionné par la cohérence et la qualité de l’ensemble. C’est un véritable couteau suisse créatif qui couvre tous mes besoins, de l’écriture orchestrale à la production électronique.
· Iconica Sketch : Une manière ludique et accessible de composer avec un orchestre complet. Les sons sont immédiatement utilisables, et le fait d’avoir des articulations essentielles en si peu de place est un vrai gain de temps pour esquisser des idées.
· Verve : Un piano feutré d’une beauté rare. La chaleur et l’expressivité des samples sont bluffantes. La section Texture, qui permet de superposer une couche synthétique modulable, apporte une dimension cinématique et émotionnelle unique.
· Etude : La surprise de cette suite. Un instrument polyvalent qui combine pianos, synthés et sons traités avec une interface épurée. Parfait pour la composition nomade ou pour trouver rapidement une ambiance, sur iPad.
· HALion Sonic : La centrale de tous mes sons. La diversité des banques de presets est phénoménale, et la qualité sonore est au rendez-vous, que ce soit pour des nappes, des basses ou des pads évolutifs. Une vraie mine d’or pour la production.
Ce que j’en retiens :
Steinberg a réussi à créer un écosystème où chaque outil a sa personnalité, tout en s’intégrant parfaitement aux autres. La prise en main est fluide, le son est d’une propreté exemplaire, et l’ensemble inspire la créativité au quotidien.
👉 En bref : Si vous cherchez à étoffer votre studio avec des outils à la fois proches de l’excellence et accessibles, foncez. Steinberg frappe très fort avec cette gamme. Un achat que je ne regrette pas une seconde.

Sounds great, when working
In the few times I have opened and played the library of instruments in the Iconica Sketch standalone app, switching from instruments has shown an unfortunate flaw in the app. Previously selected instruments will carry into new instrument selections, instead of clearing the selection to load the new. This requires closing and reopening the app to resolve.

現在、iOS26.1のデバイスでGarageBandを通して使用しています。その際に「Vaiolin, Viola, Cello」や「Flute, Clarinet, Oboe」といった多数のアーティキュレーションを保持している楽器を使用すると、モジュレーション操作画面のベロシティレンジが"ppp"に固定されてしまいます。特に、「Sustain, Legart, Tremoro」の項目を選択する度に件の現象が発生します。原因が不明のため解決策を要求します。
それ以外のクオリティはとても素晴らしいものだと思います。是非ご回答をお待ちしています。

Not what I was expecting
I was expecting layered orchestra sounds, massive, beautiful sounds. It’s just a bunch of individual sounds, like clarinet, bassoon, etc. It’s very, very, very basic. I have no idea why I bought this, I kind of want a refund.

I recently bought this app and use it a lot. The sound quality and features work really well on my iPadOS and iOS. Wish there were better searches that would have lead me to this easier. I was rounding out my sound library and ChatGPT search found it.

No Sound
I cannot get it to produce sound. I’ve tried stand-alone and as auv3. Tried deleting and re-installing but there is no way it is re-downloading samples because it only takes a few seconds for it to “install”. And yes I am deleting app, nit just shortcut and also all related files. If its user error its something subtle because I use other Auv’s every day. There is no link to support requests anywhere in the app, only a manual that does not address this issue. I don’t know what else to try and I think it’s too late for a refund.

I love how it sound.. I haven’t use it as a plugin yet.. just messed around with it a few times.. that’s why I haven’t gave it all stars.. I don’t play music.. but I can imagine the possibility for someone who do know how to play

うちの回線では1.8Gを一気にダウンロードしようとすると30分かかっても半分行かずにタイムアウトしてダウンロードに失敗する。こんな雑な設計にせず、Appleのガレージバンドのように細かい単位でパッチをダウンロードさせてもらいたい。
と言うかcubaseならライブラリなどのダウンロードの一旦停止と再開ができるのだから、その程度はipadでも出来て当たり前では？

Good sounds; weak app
Sounds are solid and I’d like to use them, but the app simply does not do what a live keyboardist needs. I want to use the sustained string tones and control the dynamics with key velocity. No problem, every app can do that, right? Not this one! You MUST use an expression controller (wheel, pedal…). Which I don’t always have in live settings. Infuriating, as it should be just a few lines of code to add a switch for that. The app also seems to fuse release and reverb into one control, which is not ideal and I’ve never seen before. Conclusion: unusable for me.

Great but a few problems
Bought this for iPad as an alternative to the Spitfire BBCSO plugin I use on Mac. Works well on its own, and in the Sessions app I use playing live, giving me access to multiple instruments at a time on different MIDI controllers on the stage.
I’ve run into a problem, though, when using it in Logic Pro for iPad. I can assign a different instance of Iconica Sketch to each track, just like on Mac where I’d load up whatever I need and orchestrate across instruments. However, I’m finding that only one track actually sounds, which is very frustrating. I’ve had to freeze tracks to limit Iconica to a single active instance in order to playback or export with all instruments. It really kills the workflow. Don’t know if this is a Logic Pro problem, or something within Iconica. I’m on an M4 iPad Pro, and CPU doesn’t seem to be the issue.

A great little Swiss knife of a product! Perfect for blending with synths and samplers, in a wide variety of genres.
Useless
It does not even seem to work with Steinberg‘s own Dorico. And it does not include essentials such as solo strings, harmonics, sordini, not even an alto flute. The dynamics are very crude, most instruments just start to blare upwards of mp. Many instruments also have a restricted range that cuts off notes that are often used. I can play quite a few that are not possible here. There is no A clarinet, both clarinets sound tinny and ridiculous. The harp sounds good, but without harmonics?

Great sounds but cpu spikes
Hi… firstly I really like Iconica Sketch! However I’m seeing DSP spikes when running in AUM. I’ve got a simple loop running using midi coming from LK to Iconica in AUM. It’s triggering the staccato celli patch. When left looping it sits around 16% DSP (monitoring using AUM’s node statistics) then goes up to 32% then spikes to over 70% and glitches the audio (iPad M2). It then settles back down but cycles round again. Seems to be a build up of CPU being used due to the loop? Appreciate if you could take a look please.

very good sounds missing solo strings ensemble patch
This is a very good app, but it's missing just a couple of things. Solo strings like a violin and cello would be great. And how about an ensemble patch that is for strings, brass, woodwinds. That would make things a lot easier.
