Won't connect to my receiver. It's searches endlessly. I downloaded the ipad version and I have an ipad 2.
Stopped connecting
Recently this developed an intermittent connection problem between my iPad air2 and my vsx-1021. Can connect from my iPhone. Trashed and redownloaded the iPad app. This problem was encountered on two iPads.

NEED ios8 update!!!!!
Please, please provide an update for ios8! Iv just updated my ipad and this app has no ios8 support, very frustrating as ios8 was released a while ago and still no support available. I used to use this app every day now cannot use at all, please sort this out as soon as possible !!!
It now works using IOS8.1!!!
Ater weeks of frustration, finaly figured it out!
After updating the my VSX-50 to latest fireware from pioneer using a USB, everything to started working on both the iPhone and the iPad!

Crashes and fails to load
Used to be great. Now the app won't even start. IPhone 5s and iPad Air. Ios8.1
The iControlAV5 app has been updated to include most 2011 models
I had the iControlAV2 app for many years for the Elite SC-55. The app worked for the most part, but lacked some features that the iControlAV2012 app had. So I was always a little disappointed that Pioneer never updated the iControlAV2 app. I recently updated my iPhone to iOS 8 and then noticed that some features of iControlAV2 app weren't working (further disappointment). So I looked for another app hoping to come across one that would support my receiver. Found iControlAV5, but it didn't support it. Now today I noticed that iControlAV5 has been updated to include my receiver. It is exactly what I needed. Pioneer it's about time you gave us one app for many models that gets updated instead of many apps that include only a few models. iControlAV5 is exactly what I needed! Hopefully this review will steer you to an app that will work for you also.

If you use this I would not upgrade to iOS v8 - revised with fix!!!
The app seems to hang without getting to the connect screen under iOS 8. Still works fine under iOS 7 on my other iPad although I ended up doing a reset on the receiver to get it to go after trying to connect to it using iOS 8. It's not a bad app. I wish I hadn't taken the iOS upgrades. It will be neat if Pioneer can fix this by adding support for 2011 receivers to a newer version of to app. If you like this app I'd hold off upgrading to iOS8.
UPDATE: this is such a useful app that we tried a few things, including a network sniffer. The iOS 8 iPad communicated differently than the iOS 7 iPad on the same network. Deleted the app and re-installed. Problem resolved. Now works under iOS8 as it should.

I can't get it to connect to my VSX-LX55 or BDP-LX55 after updating to iOS 8. It just sits here saying connecting but never connects. Sort this out Pioneer!

Sad that pioneer doesn't support older receivers
This app does 99% of what I need. The one thing that would have made it perfect is the HMG support was better.
The only way to enter username and password is via the receiver/remote and that is PAINFUL without a keyboard.
The same for crating a new pandora station. No one wants to do it via the remote,

Needs update for the pioneer VSX 528 error message can not connect

No update for iOS 7?
Stale, partially broken
Frustrated there are no backwards updates for these receivers. MCACC graphs no longer display on iPad. Will sway my decision away from pioneer for my next receiver.

Doesn't work with my 2011 sc-37. What a load of crap. Installed the app just to give it 1 star for not working.
