2.0
May 21, 2026
v2.0 brings two major additions - a Drug Interaction Checker and an Immunocompromised Host Framework. Drug Interaction Checker (NEW) A Liverpool-DDI-anchored database of 295 antimicrobial drug interactions — HIV and COVID antivirals, HCV antivirals, rifamycins, azoles, macrolides, fluoroquinolones, linezolid, TMP-SMX, aminoglycosides, vancomycin, metronidazole, isoniazid, beta-lactams, and more. Severity-graded (Contraindicated / Major / Moderate / Minor / Monitor) with 13 cross-cutting patient-background alerts (G6PD, renal dosing, QT, cefepime neurotoxicity, TB hepatotoxicity, pregnancy, pediatric). Sources: FDA labels, Liverpool DDI, DHHS HIV guidelines, EASL HCV, IDSA, ATS/CDC. Searchable by generic or US brand name; potent inhibitors (e.g., Paxlovid) trigger a "confirm before prescribing" banner. Immunocompromised Host Framework (NEW) Three new sections added to "Approach to infection in the immunocompromised host (overview)": • A two-axis severity-classification plot (underlying disease burden × pharmacotherapy), anchored to NCCN Prevention and Treatment of Cancer-Related Infections, IDSA SOT/HCT guidelines, and Fishman NEJM 2007 • A 14 drug-group × T-cell / B-cell / antibody production effect matrix • A 3-tier pharmacologic immunosuppression severity table (mild / moderate / severe) With a brief cross-reference to the parallel NIID/NCGM 2024 Japanese clinical framework. Also new: "Drug Interaction Checker" entry in the antimicrobial chapter list (with NEW badge), plus a "Check Interactions" pill button on each antimicrobial detail page (current drug pre-selected).
