The ID Scanner App allows you to use your device's camera to scan the 2D barcode on government-issued IDs. It can detect fake IDs, validate information, and register guest contact details. You can also set custom tags for patrons and receive alerts for underage individuals or flagged patrons.
The app can read fields such as name, date of birth, address, city, state, postal/zip code, issue date, expiry date, document number, and gender from the scanned ID.
The core ID scanning functionality is available for free. However, there is an optional ID scanning case available for purchase that enhances scanning speed and magnetic stripe reading capabilities. An optional online portal for data access and reporting may also involve costs.
The application is designed to be used on iPod, iPhone, and iPad devices, utilizing their built-in cameras for scanning.
