I find this app to be very useful in choosing the right wood for a project. Good description and information about gluing and finishing. Very Helpful
Terrible app
Thought the app would allow me to ID a piece of wood. A list of all the wood types does nothing for me.

Needs to have a scan function.

It would be nice to show samples of the bark and leaf configuration, at least in some cases.

If you like just looking at pics of wood - get it. If you want a real tool to identify wood - this is not it. Waste of time & money
Not what I thought it was
I got this app to help me identify the wood in some antiques that I found in EU. I thought it was an AI scan type app but it just has pictures. That might be helpful if there were more pictures with different finishes, but it just has a small piece showing a small part if the grain- pretty useless. Iit is also kind of clumsy. I don’t recommend this one.

Misrepresentation
This App does not identify a piece of wood. Need to be able to take a picture and then ID what you are looking at. Highly disappointed.

Save your money with this app you can’t even view all the thumbnails at once making it painstaking and almost impossible to actually find out what kinda wood your liking at, for 10$ it’s a complete rip off

I should have read reviews. I want my money back. I’m looking for an app that will identify a piece of wood in my hand.
Don’t waste $10
I thought it would help identify wood trough my camera lens. I didn’t know i would have to go through pictures of every single species in the world and compare it to the piece i am looking at.

You don’t realize that this app does not identify your wood until after they charge you $10USD. You have to search their database for wood information. What a scam this is! RUN AWAY NOW!

This app is absolute trash. I don’t ever leave reviews…but do not spend the money on this. It doesn’t help to identify wood at all.

Very dissatisfied and disappointed. I thought this app would identify wood with a photo or similar but no such thing. It’s another useless app that is not worth the purchase.

Like other reviews, we’d much prefer to take a pic of a piece of wood and have the app tell us rather than determine the type from searching a database with 100’s of possible choices?

Not useful to me
Thought I could take a picture of the face or end grain of the wood/lumber I’ve got for identification. Shame this functionality would be great. Maybe it’ll be included in future releases.
