Well, I got a reply the next morning. They asked for a follow up screen recording, I sent one and the next day I received a detailed response which solved my problem — Use the “X” in the upper right to examine the annotated sheet music and then use the provided “Start” button to try again.
I love the app and their very responsive customer service.
