About

Huichuntang is a Chinese apothecary-themed roguelike deckbuilder. The old master died the night before Qingming Festival. He left you the keys to a three-generation herbal pharmacy. Patients are already knocking. You open his prescription book, tighten your grip on the herb scoop— ===[ Core Gameplay ]=== ■ Pull & Prescribe: Draw 8 herbs, pick 1-5 to form a formula. Each herb has Qi (temperament), Flavor, and Meridian — different combinations trigger different formula patterns. ■ Sovereign-Minister-Assistant-Envoy: 11 formula patterns from Solo to Five-Immortals. The apex "Sovereign-Minister-Assistant-Envoy" pattern requires the highest-potency herb as Sovereign, same-meridian herbs as Ministers, opposing-Qi as Assistants, and a guide herb (Gan Cao / Bing Pian) as Envoy — real classical Chinese medicine formulary logic. ■ Right Treatment: Patients have four syndromes — Cold-Deficiency, Heat-Excess, Deficiency, Excess. Matching your formula's dominant Qi gives ×1.25; mistreating drops to ×0.75. The "Pulse Reading" consumable pushes it to ×1.5. ■ Seven Relations of Herbs: Mutual promotion, mutual assistance, mutual restraint, mutual antagonism — the classical Eighteen Antagonisms mean pairing Gan Cao with Gan Sui really poisons the formula. The Gu Jar relic converts poison into +8 mult. ===[ Content ]=== ■ 23 herbs — Gan Cao, Fu Zi, Ren Shen, Zhu Sha, Da Huang, Chuan Wu ... each with real herbal lore ■ 27 relics — bronze mortar, purple-clay teapot, abacus, Gu jar, Herb Sage's portrait ... ■ 12 formula patterns with real prescriptions (Zuo Jin Wan, Si Jun Zi Tang, Ma Huang Tang) ■ 12 consumables — acupuncture, tempering, pulse reading, dew of restoration ... ■ 6 processing techniques — honey-fried, wine-cured, calcined, ninefold-steamed ... ■ 10 boss patients — Court Physician's Envoy, The Squire Who Hides His Illness, The Plague ... ■ 8 trials — Silk-Thread Diagnosis (hidden targets), Plague Season, Empty Purse, Five Flavors... ■ 3 modes — Story (24 scripted beats), Free Practice (no death), Trials ■ Herbal Codex — herbs, relics, formulas, patients, cumulative across runs ■ Full save/load + Bilingual (Chinese + English) ===[ Art & Audio ]=== "Paper & Ink Counter" aesthetic — rice paper, dark wood, cinnabar red, brass. Herbal tags in vertical calligraphy, patient charts slightly askew, the Brew button is a red seal stamp. Every sound effect is hand-synthesized under CC0 license. Guqin and guzheng ambient tracks. ===[ Who's This For ]=== ■ Fans of Balatro / Slay the Spire / Luck be a Landlord / Aotenjo ■ Anyone curious about Chinese apothecary or classical aesthetics ■ Deckbuilders who like 30-45 min runs and replay-heavy formats ===[ Disclaimer ]=== This game is a cultural fantasy. All references to Chinese herbal medicine serve gameplay only and do NOT constitute medical advice. Real-world use of herbs like cinnabar or aconite requires guidance from a licensed practitioner.
