About

【A calculator built for older eyes and hands】 AnPaw isn't a regular calculator with the text scaled up. It was redesigned from scratch for people whose eyesight has faded, whose fingers don't always land where they aim, and who never got comfortable with flat modern interfaces. ■ Answers are read out as whole numbers Type 105 and you hear "one hundred five" — not "one, zero, five". Tens, hundreds, thousands, the minus sign, the digits after a decimal point: every part is spoken the way a person would actually say it. You can keep your eyes off the screen and still know the answer. ■ Two languages, one tap apart Settings has a Language card — 中文 and English. Tap one and the whole calculator switches over, screen and speech together. Your phone can stay in English while the calculator speaks Chinese, or the other way round. Either way, answers are read out in full. ■ The answer is there before you press "=" On an ordinary calculator you wait for the equals key. AnPaw works it out the moment you have a complete sum — press the next operator and the answer is already on screen, so you always know where you are. A small line above shows the whole sum you've typed, so losing your place mid-calculation doesn't matter. ■ Big keys that look like keys The keys and the numbers on them are noticeably larger than an ordinary calculator's, and they're built to feel physical — they sink when pressed, they cast a shadow, you can tell at a glance that they're meant to be pushed. Plus, minus, times and divide are told apart by colour and by the word printed on the key, so colour blindness isn't a problem. ■ Choose what a key press sounds like Voice reads out each key as you press it. Piano gives every digit key its own note, tuned so that 1155665 plays the opening of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Whichever you pick, the answer is still read out in full — that part never goes away. ■ Conversions you'll actually use ・US dollars, Japanese yen, Chinese yuan, Korean won ↔ Taiwan dollars (rates from Bank of Taiwan, refreshed whenever you ask) ・Kilograms ↔ catties (the unit used at Taiwanese markets) ・Centimetres ↔ inches ・Celsius ↔ Fahrenheit One tap on "⇄ Swap" flips every conversion the other way, so you never have to hunt for the one you want. ■ A record you can look back at Everything you've just worked out stays on the History tab — sums and answers both. Being interrupted halfway through the accounts costs you nothing. ■ Sized to your eyes Text comes in Normal, Large and Huge, and the whole calculator grows together. Key vibration and sound can be turned off any time, so it stays quiet in a library or a hospital waiting room. ■ We don't collect anything about you No ads, no tracking, no sign-up, no login. What you calculate stays on your phone. The app sends nothing out — the one exception is Bank of Taiwan's public rates page, and only when you tap Update Rates yourself. Works on iPhone and iPad. What's New in 安爪計算機

1.0.2

The whole calculator now speaks English. • Language: Settings has a new Language card — 中文 and English. Tap one and everything switches over, including what you hear. Your phone can stay in English while the calculator speaks Chinese, or the other way round. • English answers are read as whole numbers too: 105 is "one hundred five", not "one, zero, five". • Key sounds: choose Piano in Settings and every digit key gets its own note — 1155665 is the opening of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Either way, answers are still read out in full. • Currency conversion adds Chinese yuan and Korean won, alongside US dollars and Japanese yen. Tap Update Rates for today's numbers. • VoiceOver now names every button on screen.
