About

How long has it been since you blinked? Put your phone in front of you and DontSleep watches your eyes, mouth and head posture through the front camera. When you start to zone out, blink too often, yawn, or let your head drop, it alerts you with sound, vibration and voice — before you actually fall asleep. Fully offline: frames are analysed on your device only. No video is ever stored, nothing is uploaded, no account required. ■ HOW IT WORKS • Eyes: EAR (eye aspect ratio) plus PERCLOS (percentage of eye closure) for graded alerts • Mouth: a yawn only counts when your mouth stays open long enough — talking won’t trigger it • Head: nodding and head droop need both a downward pose change and a downward shift of the face • Combined fatigue score: all signals weighted into a 0–100 score, with a per-factor breakdown • Personal baseline: a 10-second calibration adapts closed-eye detection to your own eyes ■ HOW IT ALERTS YOU • Three levels — Notice / Warning / Emergency — with escalating tone and rhythm, plus continuous vibration at the emergency level • Voice announcements for emergency alerts, audible even with the silent switch on • Ambient light warnings when the room is too dark or too bright, and automatic screen dimming at night ■ MORE THAN ALERTS • Alertness self-test (PVT): a 60-second reaction test that scores how alert you are right now and compares it with your own baseline • Focus timer (Pomodoro): quick 15/25/45/60-minute sessions, a long-break rhythm, optional auto-start of the next session, and notifications when a phase ends • Microsleep replay: the 10 seconds before and after each alert (numbers only, never video) so you can look back at the moment you nearly dozed off • Fatigue diary: tag every session, then let your own data show you why you get tired • Statistics: daily and cumulative eye-closure time, yawn counts and trends ■ WHO IT’S FOR • Drivers on long or late-night trips • Anyone staring at a screen all day — office work, coding, exam prep • People who can’t put the phone down at night • Anyone who needs to be reminded to take a break ■ WHAT YOU NEED • Stand your phone in front of you (a stand or a wall works) with the front camera facing you • Keep the room reasonably lit and your face inside the frame ■ PRIVACY Everything runs on your device: no video is stored, no images are uploaded, and no account is needed. Note: this app is a everyday fatigue reminder. It is not a medical device and does not replace rest while driving. If you feel drowsy, stop and take a break.
