Beware of hidden costs

I bought a physical controller to use this with, which cost £40 and plugs into the charger port but I can only play a few songs before it tells me I need to pay £6 to buy deej, another DJ app so that I can continue mixing more songs!?! And if I buy this will it tell me I need to buy some other app in the future to keep using it? Guess I'll uninstall and go back to using Traktor on my laptop, at least there are no hidden costs with that!
