Gem necessity?

Why is it impossible to play at the beginning without using the gems? I just want to play, and save gems for later. If you are going to force the gem usage at least make the beginning upgrades free. Got it so I could play, not use the gems before I play.

Too Many Ads

Almost every action needs an ad to do. Even after paying for no ads I donโ€™t see a reductionโ€ฆ closed the game to restart and no difference
