Idle Loom

Idle Loom is an idle game about running a weaving mill, and about the cloth itself. Start with a single hand loom. Sell your first metres of fabric, buy another, and climb through seven generations of weaving machinery: hand looms, shuttle looms, rapiers, projectiles, air-jets, Jacquard machines, and finally the mill line. Your floor fills up as you grow, and the camera leans in with it. TIME THE MARKET Cloth prices drift. Sell into a peak and pocket the difference; sell into a trough and learn for next time. The market band tells you when the moment is right; a small decision that keeps every session interesting. DRAFT YOUR OWN WEAVES This is the part no other idle game has. When you're ready to prestige, you don't press a button; you sit down at the dobby grid and draw a weave, cell by cell, the way drafts are written on real point paper. Watch it become cloth in the live preview as you draw. Twills, basket weaves, weft-faced drapes, figured damasks: the game reads your pattern's real structure: floats, interlacing, symmetry; and stamps it Plain, Sound, Fine, or Masterwork. Better cloth, better rewards. SIGN IT. KEEP IT FOREVER. Signing a contract resets your mill for the next run and files your design in the gallery, the actual pattern you drew, woven up, with its date and its rank. Share any design as an image. Your gallery is the story of your craft, and nothing can take it from you. GROW THE GROUND ITSELF Earn stars with every signature and spend them on special projects and ground expansions; new terraces that wrap around your mill floor and make room for the heaviest machinery.
