IELTS Collocation PRO is an educational app designed to help English learners improve their vocabulary for the IELTS exam. It specifically focuses on teaching collocations, which are word combinations that sound natural to native speakers and are essential for achieving higher scores in IELTS writing and speaking.
The app directly addresses the Lexical Resource criterion in IELTS marking. By learning and correctly using collocations, you can significantly improve your vocabulary in both the writing section (essays) and the speaking test, leading to a higher band score.
Yes, the app is free to download and use. It also supports offline access, making it convenient for learning anytime, anywhere. There are in-app purchases available, likely for additional features or content.
The app covers various common collocation patterns, including verb + noun, verb + adverb, adjective + noun, adverb + adjective, noun + noun, and collocations with 'have' or 'take'. This variety helps learners build a comprehensive understanding of how words naturally pair together.
The app recommends learning collocations as chunks of language, not just individual words. It suggests making your own sentences and reviewing them regularly, rather than relying on simple word lists. This approach helps you understand how collocations function within a sentence.
