App Doesn’t Work

Purchased his on my iPhone and received an error message stating my phone is jailbreaked - which it isn’t. Perhaps it’s a security update issue recently pushed by Apple that the developer hasn’t accounted for yet.

Alignment sucks

Dont waste your money on this - the software does not align the focus stack well so the result is useless

Response from developer

Hi Roelof, Thank you for your feedback, and we're sorry you had this experience. We finally tracked down the cause of this alignment issue after several hours of testing. In rare cases, focus stack files were not being processed in alphabetical order, which could lead to incorrect alignment results. We've already fixed this issue, and the update will also include significantly improved alignment algorithms that make stacking more robust and accurate overall. We appreciate you taking the time to report the problem, and we hope you'll give the updated version a try once it's available. Best regards, The iFocus Stacking team

Exceeds Expectations!

Remarkably simple, feature rich, and effective. Highly recommend. It does exactly what it is expected to do - combines similar photos with different focal lengths into a single well integrated well focused photograph.

Simple and works

Looking for software for iPad. Downloaded this as only one I could find and it works flawlessly. Very impressed

Excellent stacking app

I send my JPEGs directly to my iPhone from my Nikon, and want to share my photos via text. Being able to focus stack without a computer is extremely convenient. No failures even with 11 shots - I’ll try more. It’s easy to use with customizable algorithms; and it’s dedicated to stacking without distracting features. My only complaint is that Help menu access is not on the top page, but otherwise an excellent app.

Surprisingly good!

I use Helicon on the PC but wanted something to do stacking on an iPad, this popped up and I thought it worth a try. Actually, is just as good as Helicon imho, slower but the convenience of staying in the iPad ecosystem.

Top marks!

Ideal for iPhone based focus stacking

For my test I took all the photos with my iPhone using an app that can capture focus stacking images. Historically I have used a dSLR and laptop software to control the images and process them. This app has now allowed me to do everything “in house” on my iPhone, which is ideal for when you are away from home. I used 15 images to stack, taken on a tripod on my phone. I used the provided tripod preset. The processing was very quick ! Over time I will play with the settings but I would recommend this app.
Also very importantly, there was an issue when I first made my purchase, I contacted support and received a very prompt and helpful reply. The problem was already on their list and they solved it, quickly. I find this reassuring. So thank you very much for your help.
So if you want to process your focus stack then use this app.
