Study Guide
Used this app to help me study and pass the TCFP driver operator pumper and aerial operator tests.it is a good supplement to studying and going through the book. Prior to taking both tests I used the exam prep portion. The exam prep was super helpful in being able to select which chapters the questions came from and being able to pick how many questions I wanted on the quiz. The only thing I would say it needs, which is the reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is when you get the question wrong, it doesn’t give you an explanation. However, on each question it gives you the page number to find the answer which is nice to have.

Passed my tests, but…
I love using the IFSTA apps to practice for tests. Extremely helpful, especially being able to see the page number it’s pulling the question from.
Something that would level up the app tremendously is a short explanation of the answer.

Function
Not a bad app. Some more features would be nice. For example, if you take an a partial exam for a chapter. It would be nice to be able to go back and take a second exam, ONLY consisting of the questions you have not answered yet. Small changes to promote learning would be great.

Exam questions
While the app is great for the audiobook and concept, all the exam questions need to be re-looked at. I found multiple questions that had misspelling, no page references and wording that contradicted what the 3rd edition book said.
Needs slight improvements
My only critiques thus far comes from “exam prep” and “audiobook” tabs. In the “exam prep” tab it lacks the ability to choose what pages your test comes from. This would be so valuable when fine tuning learning or learning as you go. It would also be useful to add a question to the “study deck” after the test. The “audiobook” tab feature is great as well as the ability to bookmark but it is not clear how to use it. For now I have been using the “insert notes” as a way to bookmark parts of the chapter for easier review. I just wish there was a little more flexibility on the “exam prep and bookmarking (from audiobook)”.
I would also add that the “addendum” chapter is no where to be found on this app. There is a lot of testable information there that needs to be added in audiobook, exam prep and flash card tabs.

IFSTA D/E app
Using exclusively for the audiobook portion. It appears the app has been updated from previous reviews chapters 16-20 were included in the audiobook section after purchasing.
Disappointed
Missing the aerial apparatus chapters 16-20 audiobook that it says it has on the app. Which is what I was really wanting to study. Everything else is good. Wish they had the audiobook on other apps as well.

JfromMD, please make sure you have updated IFSTA Driver/Operator 3 to the latest version. The aerial apparatus audiobook chapters were added in September 2023. If updating does not work, try uninstalling/reinstalling this app. Please reach out to support@ifsta.org if you need additional help.
Not worth the money.
This app leaves a lot to be desired as a study guide. The flash card section is awful and only gives 3-7 terms for chapter, with a lot of repeats in other chapters. The practice quizzes aren’t bad, but would be nice if there was an actual explanation of wrong answers instead of simply saying what the right answer is. Also, when you buy the practice quizzes… that DOES NOT include the audiobook and you have to buy It separately. IFTSA continues to just be a money racket.

Aerial audiobook
I paid for the audio books and it only goes to chapter 15. The summery of the app says chapter 16-20 is there but when I open the app, it’s not there. I deleted the app and redownloaded it but now it wants me to pay for everything again!

Helpful but…
The audiobook (the reason I bought this version and not the one with just the test prep questions) doesn’t have the aerial portion. Frustrating to find that out post purchase!
No Aerial Apparatus Audio Chapters
Is this a joke? Aerial Apparatus is a proboard certification class but their app only offers the pumper operator portion of the audiobook. I don't mind paying money for resources but I do have a problem paying full price for only 2/3 a product. Disputing the charge with my bank.
