Edit: why in the world does it only work in portrait mode?!! Not a bad app, but some aspects, such as ads that make a page unreadable, ruin it. And it's about time we had a dark mode too.

Incompetent Gaming Negligence
This stupid app won't let me login with my password. It's incompetently designed and should be banned from the App Store.
It works until it doesn’t
I use the app quite a bit and would like to engage in comments more, but as another reviewer said, it asks me to log in again (even though I’m logged in) if I want to comment. It doesn’t always do this, but enough to be an annoyance and me change my review until it’s fixed. The “for you” section isn’t curated very well and the ratio of ad promotions and what not to actual articles is way out of balance. Love IGN and the IGN crew, but the app needs help.

Used to be my go-to for gaming news…
This app and company honestly just needs to die…. This used to be my go-to app for gaming news. I was on it every other day.
Now, I might jump on once every few months because it’s literally just 95% articles with zero substance about some actor who said something about something, and ads, ads, and more ads…. What a shame….
I can literally scroll on this app for 5 minutes straight before I see anything interesting…. Then if I want to comment on something, I can’t even login…. My guess is IGN got in their chest about people commenting on articles about how pointless they were.
This app these days is a sad and pathetic shell of what it used to be, and I honestly have no idea why it’s even still on my phone…

This app is fine for articles and news, but if you want to comment on anything good luck, I’m logged into my account and every time I try to comment it asks me to log in again.

Been locked out for a year. Wouldn’t be terrible if I wasn’t constantly asked to login to a portal that doesn’t work.

As a gamer and avid fan of IGN this app sucks! I’m constantly being logged out and the in app browser crashes every time. Also the “for you” section is useless really. I should be able to edit the pages to my liking I don’t want to see my “page” immediately I want the latest news.

This app is awful and unfortunately is not designed to navigate games easily. It's just pushing content at you.

Massive bug since many years
It‘s impossible to be logged in. I am logged into the app. But as soon as i want to comment the app ask me again to login. Then there are two outcomes: either it just loads but nothing happens or it accepts the login, just to ask me again to log into as soon as i try to comment. So it‘s impossible for me to comment or look at comment replies. The problem exists for YEARS now and nothing happens. So i will stop using ign and switch to another service. Way to go ign…

Frustrating
A pretty terrible app. Constantly get logged out and then even when you log back in it will still have you logged out. I don’t think I’ve dealt with a worse app when it comes to login issues.
Not functional
This app is great for scrolling and that’s about it. If I want to leave a comment, it takes me to the login screen. I log in, go back to the comment, and it takes me back to the login screen. It’s a vicious circle.
The only way to fix this issue is to, completely delete the app, and reinstall it. It works for a few days before the same issue returns.
So, if I want to comment on any article, I need to reinstall the app at least once a week.
To top it off, I’m a paying subscriber…

Man oh man… I love IGN. I love the content. I love the hosts of all the shows and podcasts especially Beyond & NVC. Love the reviews, on sale sections, news, events. But boy is this app bad and keeps getting worse. It crashes all the time. I have to log in almost every day. The videos don’t play or play and then crash… 5 stars for IGN content/creators and 0 for the app

GET RID OF THE “FOR YOU” PAGE. ITS AWFUL. Welcome to one of the most broken apps of all time.
I’ve followed IGN since the early aughts. I’m a plus member. The ign app is one of the first apps I open every day. Or rather it used to be. It’s utterly broken. I can’t comment. I can’t like. It tells me to sign in even though I’m signed in. People literally have created new accounts with usernames like “I CANT SIGN IN.” Yeah, that’s how broken their app is.
So I can’t interact with comments at all. I’ve paid for their ign plus service for a decade now. Maybe longer. Joke is on me. They just want your money. Over half the site is SEO garbage anyway filled with affiliate links and endless articles about chairs and desks and subscription services and more SEO slop. But that’s not the worse thing.
GET RID OF THE ‘FOR YOU’ PAGE. It’s awful. None of it is relevant to me and it’s all articles from months ago. None of it is recent. It’s all from months and months ago and isn’t even remotely useful to me. Right now it’s all articles from freaking December. December. Almost 5 months ago. It’s awful. Get rid of it. Don’t fix it, just get rid of it. I HATE having to immediately tap “latest” to get the latest news because the stupid for you page is the first thing you see. I cannot overstate how much I detest this ‘for you’ slop. This isn’t TikTok.
