Hear the conversation again — with the iPhone you already own.
iHear turns your AirPods or wired headphones into a personal listening assistant. It measures your hearing in about five minutes, then amplifies the world around you to match your own ears: more where you need it, less where you don't.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Take the hearing test. A guided tone test, one ear at a time, across six frequencies from 250 Hz to 8 kHz. About five minutes, in a quiet room.
2. Get your profile. iHear builds your audiogram and calculates the gain you need with NAL-R, the prescription formula used by audiologists.
3. Put your AirPods in and listen. iHear picks up the sounds around you and plays them back amplified, in real time.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• Clinical hearing test — Hughson-Westlake ascending method, each ear tested separately
• Personal audiogram — see exactly where your hearing drops off
• Real-time amplification across 6 bands, prescribed from your own results
• Three listening programs — Quiet, Speech and Outdoors
• Adaptive compression (WDRC) — quiet sounds come up, loud sounds stay comfortable
• Anti-feedback — cuts in automatically before whistling can build
• Maximum volume limit — set your own ceiling so nothing is ever too loud
• Anti-echo and anti-resonance for reverberant rooms
• Smart activation — amplifies only when there is speech or music
• Mute my own voice, directional microphone, automatic gain
• Manual equalizer if you want to fine-tune anything yourself
BUILT FOR AIRPODS
Low-latency processing keeps the amplified sound in step with what you see, so voices and lips stay in sync. Wired headphones work too.

IMPORTANT
iHear is a sound-amplification app for everyday listening situations. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat hearing loss. The hearing test is a screening tool, not a clinical audiogram. If you have ear pain, sudden hearing loss, ringing, discharge, or hearing that is clearly worse in one ear, see a doctor or an audiologist.
