The IIMS iOS application provides critical road condition and incident data collection on deployed and low cost platforms. The mobile application permits maintenance and construction staff through IIMS usage to report in real time on road conditions during field surveys and emergency events within the IIMS NYSDOT and multi-agency networks; improving situational awareness. The IIMS mobile applications will provide on scene information that will be immediately accessible to managers, supervisors and participating staff (such as public works, public safety, engineering staff and permitted consultants /contractors, tow truck operators). The increased level of situational awareness from enhanced road condition reporting which will improve multi-agency response to reported impacted roadways and incidents during non-event and event conditions.
