About

Iki guides you to the thing the Japanese call ikigai: the place where what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs and what you can be paid for overlap. It does it with thirty short questions, walked at your pace. You answer each one in a few sentences, typed or spoken, and the garden answers back: one line that proves it actually read what you wrote, not a platitude. Then it asks a little more, the way a good listener does. As you go, four hand-drawn circles fill with raked lines. Milestones place stones you turn over: what the garden has noticed about you, in the light of your own answers. At the end the circles close into a single mark, and Iki tells you what shape your ikigai takes, writes it as one sentence in your own register, and gives you a guide: the work to look for, the people to keep close, what to turn down, how it gets paid. Then you can ask it questions about what it found. TWO WAYS TO WALK IT The beginning and a first reading written for you are free. Then two paths, and you choose once. Each is a single purchase, yours for good: no subscription, nothing renews. One a day: one session a day, at the hour you pick, with a journal for the evenings. The slow way, and the way it was first built to be walked. No waiting: the next one opens as soon as you finish, as many at once as you like. Fewer questions per step, no journal. For when you want the answer this afternoon. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT It listens. Every answer earns a response written for that answer. Nothing is generic, and nothing is a template with your name dropped in. It is quiet. No streaks, no badges, no confetti. One screen, one breath, one question. The only reward is a line raked into the sand. It is honest. When the garden does not have enough to go on, it says less rather than inventing. Your voice stays on your phone. You can speak your answers instead of typing them; recognition runs on the device and no audio is recorded, stored or sent anywhere. WHAT YOU LEAVE WITH A sentence you can say out loud. The shape your ikigai takes, named. A guide for what comes next. Everything you wrote, exportable as a readable file whenever you want it. PRIVACY No ads. No tracking. No third-party analytics. Sign in with Apple or Google, and nothing else: no passwords, no email codes. Everything you write can be exported or permanently deleted from inside the app, in two taps. Iki is not therapy and does not pretend to be. It is a few weeks, or a few hours, of paying attention to yourself, with something patient on the other side of the page.
