Great as usual

The food superb, the waiter Jose perfect, hot food delivered by Miguel,Lucinda the best hostess,all choreographed by Rudi. Good to see the loyalty club back. The portions are bigger than usual.

Cannot scan barcode

App is useless. Downloaded, it won’t work with Facebook and it doesn’t scan barcode to get rewards! Lame, just took up memory space for nothing! SMH

Not scanning receipt

It used to work, but now it won’t scan receipts or accept the barcodes when entered by hand.

This App doesn’t work

I have an iPhone X. I downloaded the app and the only thing it shows is the splash picture. Nothing more. However it has crashed on me three or four times as I’ve tried to figure out how in the world are use it. There is no menu no hotspots nothing but a picture on the app.

The food the restaurant is wonderful however forget the app!

You need an upgrade on this app. Can’t access menu options or scan receipt. Can’t receive rewards. Worthless!

Nicely done app

Overall user experience with this app was excellent--scanning the receipt was super easy and didn't require any button presses. Il Fornaio is a favourite restaurant of mine so it's nice that they had an app created for repeat customers.

Definitely worth the download

I hadn't been to Il Fornaio in ages but downloaded the loyalty app for a friend's birthday dinner: my experience with it so far has been essentially perfect.

Before dining: the app was easy to install, locate my local restaurant, review the menu, and make a reservation. I'm shy about giving up both personal information and phone access privileges but it didn't demand more than necessary to get the job done.

During the meal: I can't really overstate how well Il Fornaio's waitstaff integrated the app into our dining experience. (Ever try to redeem a reward or coupon somewhere and get a blank - or even disapproving - stare? Our server seemed genuinely pleased). I'd searched for a promo code before registering and found a code for a free dessert: it was effortless to use. So was scanning the receipt. It Just Worked.

After: I must say, I was pleasantly surprised at how many reward points I received for the meal. Also, while I did get a couple of follow-up messages after, I haven't felt spammed at all.

Of course, YMMV... but if Il Fornaio's goal was to lure me back as a customer... well, mission accomplished. Even if you only eat here once in a blue moon, I think the loyalty app is well worth downloading!

Can't purchase gift card from the app even though there is a gift card option! I have to purchase the gift card from its website and write down the code when I used it.

Gift Card Issues

Every time I try and purchase gift cards when you go to check out the cart empties and you're unable to complete any purchase.

Awesome App!!

I love this app. It has this cool digital passport that gives you a new treat every month when you try the regional menu PLUS points for every purchase. Super easy to scan receipts (remember to do it w/in 48 hours) and redeem rewards. Free dessert just for downloading!!! Reservations are also a snap. Not sure what the reviewer below is talking about, hasn’t crashed once and all kinds of stuff on there (locations, menus, etc, just click on the 3-line icon). Thumbs up!!!

Good food Bad App

I got a card in the mail urging me to download this app which I did on my iPhone. Most of the functions do not work and it crashes frequently. It is impossible to find a specific location. Likewise there are no menus on the app. Try the food forget the app.
