Freezes during registration.
It asks whether you want to register as Apple or Gmail. Both options lead to a blank screen with an infinite loading icon. Uninstalling. I see their last update (at time of writing) was a whopping three months ago. Maybe this isn’t an active app anymore.
Don’t waste your time.
I decided to try this app and there’s an option to import your Goodreads information and to allow 24-72 hours for a reply, I’ve waited over 72 hours for their response and no books have been updated to my account and when I reached out for support they had an automated system telling me that they wouldn’t respond to my request till Monday, highly unprofessional and just not worth the hassle.

Misleading promotion
This company ran a misleading promotion on their instagram account, requiring me to make a purchase through their app with the promise of a refund. However, they are now refusing to issue the refund as originally stated.
An engaging, interactive book review community!
The bookshelves are a fun way to personalize your reading interest and share your love of books with the ILIAD community. Rating books 1–10 is more valuable way of scoring one’s interest and makes the rating relevant. The best part is, since the rollout is happening real time, readers have the opportunity to influence the site’s development and value. I’m excited to see where it goes.

Loving ILIAD
Finally there’s an easy to use app for book lovers! Love being able to track what I’ve read, see what friends are reading, and even track books that I’ve fallen out of step with (S/O “The Graveyard”)! Can’t wait to see what’s to come!

I’ve been using this app since it came out a few months ago and it’s a game changer. Absolutely loving organizing my bookshelf. I’ve read a few of the books that were recommended by the app itself and so far they’ve all been great. Also, their book rating system is so easy to use and helpful when reading other users book reviews. Thank you Iliad team for making a book app that’s actually fun to use!

This one’s a winner!!
The cost of being wrong and starting a book that you don’t end up enjoying is too high. This app takes on that problem head on with recommendations and a beautiful bookshelf user interface that makes it easy to share with others and help them by your experiences and reviews.
It’s surprising that Good Reads and others have not tackled these challenges for readers as well.
I’m seeing more and more features in rapid succession and look forward to it meeting even more needs of readers!

I Love this App!
I've been using the ILIAD books app for several weeks now. The app is super easy to navigate. It's great to see my books on the bookshelf! I especially like the 10 star rating. The book graveyard is an excellent idea! I love that it is a quick reference also when chatting with my book club. I highly recommend it to all booklovers!

Game Changer
This app has absolutely changed the game for me. Not only has it allowed me to be much more organized with what I’m reading and keeping a running list of what I want to read next (based on word of mouth from friends), the personalized book recommendations have eliminated so much of the time I used to devote to finding my next reads on my own.

My book club and I have been looking for a tool to share our reading activity with each other. We found Iliad through a friend and it’s been super easy to track our books. And a honestly a lot of fun. Def recommend.
An excellent alternative to Goodreads
I’ve been using Iliad since it launched and I’m quite happy with it. I really like their ratings system, the bookshelf, and the clean, modern design. You can tell that the people working on it care about booklovers, especially those ready to move on from Goodreads. I highly recommend it.

The breath of relief I breathed when I entered this app…sleek interface? Intuitive navigation? Customizable wood on my bookshelf?? Check, check, CHECK. Also loooove the 10-point rating system — I’m no longer feeling the need to give every single book I read a 4/5. And entering start/end reading dates without wondering if they actually saved?? Breathtaking. Finally I can say good riddance to Goodreads and it feels amazing!!

FINALLY, a book app readers can actually use!
I really like using ILIAD so far. Easy to use, and I enjoy seeing my favorite reads on my Bookshelf, or laughing at the ones I’ve sent to the Graveyard. I’m looking forward to seeing what ILIAD recommends me to read next, and checking out my friends’ book reviews too. The app helps me feel more engaged in what I’m reading, which holds me more accountable if I’m in a reading slump. Very much Letterboxd meets Goodreads meets BookTok in the best way!
