No longer any good

This used to be a great app for many years, but since it hasn’t been updated in 3 years, I can no longer send outgoing mail from within the app. I can only receive incoming mail. This started with recent updates to IOS 26. I contacted the developer and received no response.

Lack of Encrypted help search

Having literally just downloaded this application, whilst my iOS device had been routinely compromised by the Australian Government (and privately sourced affiliates) I was of the belief that by attempting to engage with the “?” or “Help” option within the application, it would at least proceed to do so via encrypted means, however, this is not the case, with two seperate notifications on my device warning of an “insecure” and “unencrypted” site which I was directly forwarded to via your application. I will proceed to delete said application upon the conclusion of this review. Thanks.

IMailG no longer opens!

Google keeps preventing me from viewing my messages. Wants me to switch to new gmail version App
Unless you do, your emails are blocked
This has been happening off & on for a couple years. However this time I can’t get back in

Thrilled IMAILG is back in on track!

I find IMAILG is my favorite email app. I especially like that you can search for a specific mail; search for all instances of that mail; then Select All and easily file them.
Over the the past year the app hasn’t worked well consistently. I wasn’t able to access developer support to address the problem.
Well … recently the developer has been very responsive ~~ the app works beautifully. Yay!

App good, support awful

The app itself is good, but support is non-existent. Emails aren’t answered, and webpage is of limited help. I’ve used this for years, but time to dump it. Save your $.

Won’t log in to Gmail error

All attempts to use this app to read email are now met with an error that “this browser is unable to log into Gmail due to lack of JavaScript” or something to that effect. In other words, the app seems to have died. Used it for nearly a decade before it died. :-(

Images are not displaying

For a while now, images do not display in iMailG but they do in other email apps. How do I fix this?

Very Few Push Notifications

No one ever replies to my emails for one thing. Second, I rarely get push notifications. The emails come to the app but no ringtone! I paid for this app so this is very frustrating!

Doing nothing

Type my email with password then confirm, asking again not ready yet

Recent change horrible!!

I have been using this application for years. It has always been my favorite for Gmail. Now, all of a sudden, the reviews are all missing has been reset to zero. I know why. I’m sure tons of people, like myself, have now written horrible reviews.

Recently I have been deluged with advertisements that pop up and take over the whole screen. I can get rid of them if I pay more money, but don’t wish to continue to pay more. And I don’t wish to change the way the application was, as I was not paying to get rid of these ads.. Also every time I turn it on and try to change the font to something reasonable, it tells me that I can’t use this action unless I dismiss it or pay to use that all the time. Changing the font? Really? That is where they want to make her stand on the word to charge you or make you dismiss the entire thing every time?

Although it has been a great application until now, I will just go back and use the Gmail application which is free and still a great one.

Too inconvenient

Super long ads you can’t exit from. A bit complicated to set up the passcode.

Longtime user: still a great app

I’ve been using iMailG for years and absolutely love it. It interfaces with gmail to do exactly what I want, with very few problems or irritating features, and keeps the gmail features that I know and love.

IOS is Easier

I don’t like the way gmail sorts messages. It is also not intuitive how to forward or reply when you want to change a previous message.

IOS is just easier.

Overall a great app

The closest features to the desktop interface and most accessible in an app. I would like audible alerts without having to pay for them. But I just run the native gmail app in the background for that.

Obnoxious Ads

I used this app for years. It was fine and I didn’t mind the 5 second ads I had to look at until I could read my email. They have added a 60 second blackjack ad that you can’t close. Done with this app. Downloaded a new app for reading my gmail.

Passcode Protection Stopped Working

Even after I shelled out money to keep ads from appearing, the Passcode protection feature just stopped working today, and no matter how many times I try to turn it back on, it won’t stick. Tried killing the app, restarting my phone, nothing would make it stick again. Just allows anyone to go right into my account, without prompting for my passcode now. The whole reason I got this app, and now it’s not working.

I like this app keep up the good work Gmail

Adequate but...

This is an adequate app. My complaint is that the developers no longer respond to paying customer questions. They used to. I no longer use this app. There are better out there.

iMailG for Gmail

Lack of user friendly features keep this app from being a great app. To delete messages must mark each message. There’s no mark all feature. Same for deleting messages in trash. There is no empty trash feature! Must mark every message to delete it. If these features are available they are not easily found. They should be default features!

Best gmail/google apps for business App

I prefer this app hugely over googles mail app. I am using the Imailg app because it directly interfaces with my Google account and I like the fact that I can access all of the Google apps I use directly from the imailG app including Chrome. On my IPad It works great! I get the push notifications on my iPad but not my iPhone which is the only negative.

10-9-2017 update. When I upgraded to iOS 11 I started getting push notifications on my iPhone! Love this app!
